preload your gift cards minutes before at checkout and have the PLUSLIT code in the field ready to hit Apply on the strike of the hour. that's what I did - worked like a charm.
The thing that sucks is that eBay won't allow you to use an eBay gift card in addition to a discount code at the same time at checkout - it's either one or the other.
since when? I load gift cards in conjunction with discount codes all the time. I did it with my purchase just today.
How did you do that? It won't allow me to select both checkboxes (one for the discount code and the other is for the giftcard code) at checkout??
@merajaan: That's so strange. That's never been an issue for me. It allows me to add one discount code, but unlimited ebay gift cards to go with it.
@clx: I also just spoke with ebay support through chat and they confirmed that you can't use both a discount code and a gift card for purchasing an item at checkout - it has to be one or the other. So very interested in how you achieved this? Were you able to tick both checkboxes?
@merajaan: I applied the promo code first, then added eBay gift card purchased in the previous deals. No issue at all.
@clx: Ahh okay so just got further clarification from eBay - they said that eBay giftcards can be used in conjunction with a discount code but NOT eBay vouchers. I obtain my eBay vouchers by redeeming flybuy points - didn't realise they count that as a voucher and not a gift card. So basically they treat vouchers the same as discount codes and not the same as gift cards which is annoying but that's their rules.
@merajaan: Ahh no wonder. I think most ozB'ers have vouchers rather than gift cards, obtained through the PayPal Ebay store

They processed a refund for me in about an hour. Also, you won't be able to buy two units, even if they're in the same transactions. According to the TC's, the code is only good for one unit.
Yep, refunds have been processed and managed to snap up a yellow one for myself. He can sort out his one on his own after this :D

I've been eyeing a switch for a while, I even bought the original switch from a target special on ebay (courtesy of ozbargain).
The only thing I didn't like was when I installed the switch I had way too many cables connected (had a ps4 and ps2 and xbox attached to the tv as well). I got rid of the ps2 and xbox, but also returned the switch as my model was faulty.
I was actually kind of sad because originally i bought the switch for Mario maker, and ever since then I just couldn't justify buying another switch (as I don't play often) so I would just watch twitch Mario maker streams.
I know no one cares about my life story (lol), but now I got the switch lite and will be buying Mario maker 2 so i'm super excited =D.
Also, for anyone else looking, like above comments, the turquoise is the popular colour. I logged in at 1:02pm and it was already sold out, yellow and grey was still available. So if you want the Turquoise colour, get onto it as soon as it is released.
These aren't as hard to get as I thought, managed to get a Turquoise one first try.
I think most people view low $200s as a fair price for the switch lite. Would be interesting to see what the prices go to in December

Yes, yes we all know that the "normal" switch is better and that it's been for as low as Aud$315 on amazon prime day 2018 (price that never came back even this year).
And I suppose that with the new switch model, we won't see any other sale price on the switch.
Now I can comfortably put my original switch offline for home brew and treat this lite version for online purpose.

realistically, no one knows. But if amazon have it at $289 (IIRC), they could do like a lightening sale and put it down to like $199. I can see a lightening sale at $199, but I highly doubt any cheaper. For $229 this is a solid bargain considering the console has just come out. I'd say pull the trigger.

Personally I wish they would sell for the bigger one sans dock for the price of the Mini. I already have a dock from my original Switch so I don't need to pay $100 extra for another dock.

The grey and yellow is not that bad. People have slow hands, should try the grey or yellow, at the 2pm spot, both have stocks after 9 mintues.

So the T&Cs are stating dispatch as 20/09 so theoretically the soonest it'd arrive is the 23/09 with express post (which kinda defeats the deal considering it's $30) but people seem to be getting an expected delivery date of 20/09? Can anyone who has ordered confirm/deny this?

As for all the negs, not too sure why, I mean I can get it for $280 on launch day with click and collect or $260 (inc express post) 3 days later which for me personally defeats the deal. I'd rather cough up an extra $20 and not have to wait. If you've already got the OG console or are happy to wait, there's no doubt it's a great deal. I was just curious to know if those who had completed a purchase were getting something different, which would make this a better deal for me personally.

Confirmed that switch is not sealed, maybe its how Nintendo works, maybe the lite is not sealed either, then it will be easy to return, but I doubt I will return it, the colour is too stunning
5.5" is fine but Xenoblade 2 is not designed for handheld mode. Looks terrible.
I think this is one of the best deals actually, anyone who really want the Switch lite can have a chance to purchase it without much issue.
