  • What, no AirPods?

I hate these sales, so hard to get anything….already stressed out thinking how stressed out I'll be trying to find the codes and click the buttons

    • +4

      Maybe ignore this?

      • +31

        Cannot

        • +3

Maybe you need to take a break from Ozbargain…

        • Get in there! :P

    • +14

      This post stresses me out.

    • This aint limited to 100 units. So who knows

    • +5

I am happy I did not get the $1/year membership last time, which stops me from buying these unnecessary items and I am totally stress free to find the code or click the buttons before everyone.

    • In it to win it!

  • +4

Looks like the Google Home Hub and Bose SoundSports will sell out within seconds..

    • +8

you think bots will take even a second to buy it?

      • +1

I did not even see the Bose one, and i have been refreshing from 1:59… and it's already all gone…

        • +2

I know! I was too all the way until 2.06pm I kept clicking and clicking and NOTHING appeared in the ebay deals.

      • I got a google home hub no problem. Straight onto gumtree for $120 when it gets here.

    • You can get a home hub from office works for 138

  • Everyone can get one?

    • +8

You’re partly correct. Everyone can get one.

      • -1

No, only eBay plus members. And there’s only a slight chance they’ll get one.

      • +2

If everyone could get one, then they'd have at least as much stock as there are eBay plus members. So, no, not everyone can get one. Most people will get nothing.

    • +4

      Avery Wong can get one.

  • +17

No information on the available quantities, so plan for the worst buying experience.

    • +2

      Or just leave it

      • +1

        Refer to zorrt comment above

        • +3

          Cannot

          • +1

@KenDiaMoi: I hope this becomes a new meme
"Help, my neighbour's dog is barking all night, should i call the cop? " Cannot
"help, i ran the red light through my high yield investment car , trying to get an ebay refund, can i get out of my ticket? " cannot

    • +1

Yep, few thousands fighting for 1 or 2 of available quantities 😛😛

    • +1

We're talking about eBay. That goes without saying…

    • +13

      • +1

I just got the soda stream - it was at 623 or something when i clicked it at 9:15 or so.

Gonna try for the google home as well but it will be tough!

  • So how do these sales work normally? Do you need to just add to cart asap and checkout?

    • Looks to me like it's similar to click frenzy, black Friday, or Amazon sale.

  • +2

By one transaction per person is that one per deal or one for the whole sale?

    • Whole sale.

      • +2

So everyone buying at either 12 or 2.

Edit: where does it say that?

        • I can't find the t&cs exactly. I can see in the banner ad it says '1 txn pp' and nothing else.

        • It's always like that, or at least as far as I'm aware.

      • -1

        It's a hole sale, and that's what everyone will get - a hole - a zero

      • It will be one code per item and the codes should be different for each item, so technically you should have the possibility of getting one of each

  • +6

When I click the link it asks me to sign up to ebay plus, yet I'm signed in and my account has ebay plus.

  • +2

    These items are not attractive

    • +2

Ghome and the headphones are not?

  • +4

I think of these as more a competition than deal, but fingers crossed I 'win' one….

  • +5

5pm 40 Nespresso Compatible Coffee and Chocolate Pods (Normally $32.10)

    oh boy!!

    • +4

It's a consolation prize for those who missed out on the good deals.

      • Gonna need more than that with the bs shenanigans i expect for the bose earphones and the ghub lmao

    • Next weeks game: spot the sad looking co-worker with Nespresso compatible pods!

      • +1

Lmao in the time it took for my phone ebay app to load the page, the ghome was sold out

  • Can anyone provide direct link for Google Home Hub ? Thanks

    • +28

      Oh definitely, right here!

  • +1

So can you only buy 1 of each OR is it only 1 item out of all sales?

    • They said one transaction p p .However it is not clear either

  • Is sodastream any good?

    • +1

At this price it's pretty good tbh.

    • As long as you avoid Sodastream branded refills, yes

      • What’s wrong with SS branded refills?

        • +2

They're expensive. If you go through enough of it it's worth getting a big tank and just refilling yourself.

  • What does the google home do? Can it work as a Bluetooth speaker?

    • -1

      Wifi not bt

      • +4

It does support bluetooth, same as the regular one. You ask it "Hey Google, turn on Bluetooth" and it'll be available as a bluetooth speaker to connect on your phone.

        • Oh wow did not realise! I got one and always depended on wifi

          • +2

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Yeah it's handy for apps that don't support Chromecasting, looking at you Audible.

            • +1

@lechuck123: You can go into the Home app and then cast the audio from your device to the Google Home speakers too.

    • +30

It builds a marketing profile based on everything you and your family say

      • And not even limited at marketing! :D

  • I cant seem to find the likes to the ebay items anywhere, Ebay doesn't even seem to be showing which items from what i've seen.

  • +1

From the comments i gather the difficulty getting items will not make it worth signing up to ebay plus?

  • +1

not sure if i try for sodastream or risk it for google home or bose headphones and end up emptyhanded. haha.

    • Is it only 1 purchase for the whole thing? or you meant time wise?

      • i meant demand. most people will go for google home or bose headphones i think

  • What timezone is correct for deals to start?

    • +5

      Guam time.

    • It's always AET or AEDT.

Australia has always had an east coast chauvinism.

  • Frick me, I'm a broke kid without any credit card ATM and also haven't signed up for eBay Plus yet. Frick

    • +4

You're in the right place then!

  • Is this limited to 1 transaction in total, or 1 transaction per item?

    • +1

Based on previous deals always was 1 per item .

No t@c's assume can be seen after 1st deal .

  • +8

This is awful if you compare to their 18th birthday 2 years ago when they had 18% off sitewide

  • Great find HPJ!

  • +1

All slow a$$es can get this : The Ordinary Overnight Anti Ageing Repair Routine

    Always AEST

    • +1

I misread Overnight as Overweight. And thought that might make sense.

  • +4

Can't we just have 20% off sitewide :(

  • +17

Hate this kind of sale. It premeditates you to grab a good bargain (1200 and 1400hrs respectively) so you wait and when the time comes there will be NO STOCK. Time wasted, day ruined. Reminds me of the good old ClickFrenzy crap to create web traffic and good for advertising. Morning whine accomplished.

  • -5

Ebay should promote more events like this

    • +2

No they shouldn't… Sitewide discount would be much better and leave many more customers happy

    • Lol but then you'd get to blame ebay instead of yourself for wasting your day

  • +2

Basically real deal is for eBay to attract more ppl for ebayplus sign ups, than deal offered itself.
Gonna be hard bargain to grab and less productive work today those who are at work. Change of focus for some..

  • Can you cancel your membership before the end of the 30 days free trial?

    • +1

yeah, made new account for ebayplus and cancelled it, ebayplus expires 3 oct

    • -3

No, even if you are unhappy with a trial you cannot cancel it.. =/

  • +2

Likely be more efficient to spend time looking for a CC with $ bonus and 1st year fee waived to buy whatever you need from the above list than actually going for this deal.

  • +1

so if we are using the ebay plus trial, can we still get this? Signed up 2 weeks ago.
Can't seem to find links to any $20 deals (I realise they haven't started yet but thought they'd have some sort of collection page to get everyone excited)

    • +1

      yes

    • +1

They don't provide links early, it's a treasure hunt
