AUNEWUSER

You DON'T have to be a student to get these flights! StudentsUniverse.com.au is currently offering $50 off Air China flights + an additional $20 off with code "AUNEWUSER" on checkout. I purchased 2 tickets last night from Sydney to Warsaw, Poland RETURN for $720pp including taxes and my visa card fee whereas I was getting quoted $860 on other sites. They do offer no-fee payment options. The best way to find these fares is to find find the discounted fares on AirChina.com.au first and then search on StudentsUniverse for those dates. My eTickets were issued instantly and verified with AirChina. These discounts are NOT limited to Europe. I've travelled with AirChina to Europe previously and it's always been a hassle free journey and I would definitely recommend them as a full-service carrier.

They also appear to have random additional discounts as the flights I purchased last night were further discounted, so it's more waiting and checking at random times of the day and night.

  • I did a lot of digging on Air China schedules a few weeks ago. Nearly all European cities have 20 hours stopover inbound. Frankfurt and Stockholm have 7 hour stopover on the inbound.

You can book tickets as open jaw, arrive in one and leave another.

    • Absolutely! My Wife and I will enjoy the long layovers as we intend to shop and explore Beijing!

      • +1

20 hours layover is a bit on the extreme side. Especially as its all during the day. Arrive 5am, leave 1am. Realistically you still have to book a hotel and the check-in/check-out timings means you can only use it for part of the layover.

Be also aware that in recent times, occasionally travellers gets denied TWOV (transit without visa), so you won't be able to leave the airport for the layover.

  • Also baggage is 2 x 23 Kg, not one

    • Updated: Thanks

  • As someone who has flown on Air China it was ok for the price being paid - just a tip on the long stop overs Air China provides a FREE hotel(and one thats "ok" and clean) - make sure you contact them before hand and they'll sort it out for you.

    • That only applies for tickets purchased through AirChina direct. If you wish to purchase better accomodation for the transit, you are better off spending a few dollars more for something in the CBD.
