      The bases look the same but the backboards are different. Clear rectangular one does look better I reckon, but not a huge deal though, I know.

  I'd be weary of these cheap setups if used outdoors. The backboards last 2-3 yrs max in the sun before going brittle and cracking. You then have a heap of metal and plastic that no one wants and have to spend another hr draining it and dismantling it for hard waste collection.

  I've had 2 cheapies in the past before deciding they weren't worth the trouble. They also wobble too much when the ball hits the ring and the backboards have too much give in them. If you practice and get used to these flimsy rings and backboards, you will have to adjust to the bounce (and frustration) when playing on more solid regulation hoops and boards.
