GL65 9SC-019AU 15.6" FHD 120Hz i5-9300H GTX 1650 512GB SSD Gaming Laptop
Good price after Cashback!
Thanks to original posts!
Original Coupon Deal
It is listed $1299, after discount $1104.15?
I think he's factoring in the shopback's $60 off for over $500.
I thought Shopback is only 1%. Still, good price either way…
Would've been nicer if shopback added another discount bracket, $120 off for $1000-$1999. Sigh….
Looks good how come 120hz screen and gfx 1650 can be this cheap?
Seems like the best $1000ish deal for a laptop, the 120hz is really a nice bonus at this price point
I purchased the GL63. Brilliant keyboard but the plastic construction makes the entire laptop feel cheap if you have been used to unibody metallic frames.
So gl63 gl65 same body just smaller bezels?
There have been a few ozb posts from people who work in computer shops saying MSI are really difficult to deal with after breakages
Anyone found the same? Because the PS63 and Prestige 15 look to have it all-in-one
As in with warranty to the company?
I have seen a few MSI laptops which tend to have hinge mounts break off due to lack of plastic/metal bracing
cheers - that's pretty sub-optimal
most brands seem to be going down the same path
HP, Acer, Toshiba, MSI
Basically its thin light and cheap, it certainly can have the same hinge issue
But it would also come down to treatment of the laptop,
throwing the lid open with one hand or slowly lifting the lid. will make a huge different over the life of a machine
How's this compare to this one? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/488585
Also 120Hz and 1650 GPU
I'm looking for a portable gaming option. The MSI prestige has 1650 and is only out in the US. But the build quality concerns are an issue with MSI breaking a lot.
Razer blade stealth is the other option but there aren't any deals atm.
Tough call, I've survived on my vaio for so long, tossing up whether to get $1k laptop 15" or a gaming ultrabook for a lot more to last long is kinda difficult.
Is back. 17" in a body of 15" Cheap cheap cheap
- slow response time screen not good for gaming
- poor sound due to location of speakers (underneath laptop)
- location of ports not ideal, particularly the power port
- has special seal if broken voids warranty so not good for diy upgrade
