  • Langkawi is a cool place to visit. Alcohol is also cheaper than elsewhere in Malaysia as they are duty exempt.

Travelling around on a scooter to the waterfalls and beaches is great fun!

  • Been to Langkawi before. Its an amazing island, I highly recommend it.

for comparison, $285 on AirAsia (incl 20+7kg bags, food, seat selection, 2hr layover in KL) using 19/5/2020 as sample date.

yeah but you get SQ for the 8 hour leg for an additional $80+ . I'd rather layover in Changi Singapore than Air Asia KL anytime

each person's view is different, which is fine. For me I'd rather be back on a plane ~2.5 hours sooner and pocket the $80.

        • I've flown Air Asia to Langkawi and it's perfectly fine. Economy in SQ is nicer sure, but 4-5hr layover kinda sucks. You're likely to spend extra money at Changi too whilst you wait :)

@nafe: plenty of things to do for free in Changi now especially with the new Jewel. Plus you get to eat for free when you fly in SQ in comparison to AirAsia where you have to pay ;)

@Serathis: I've done both SQ and AA and I honestly would go with whoever is cheaper - it's the OZB way :D

Unfortunately for me Airasia (incl 20+7kg bags, food, seat selection, 2hr layover in KL) is $550+ for NSW school holidays using 18/7/2020.

    Also works for LGK-SIN-BNE.

    • Actually it also works for ADL, MEL, PER too.

All Australian SQ destinations, except CBR.

      • PER $573 for term 2 2020 school holiday

  • Finally got my itinerary and receipt sent to me after 9 days.
It is four items listed as “agency payment” totally $135 SGD.
    A bit weird.

(double the price now on Singapore metal).

    • Another receipt sent.
2 more items listed as 'agency payment' now totals $180 SGD
