Go to ‘Votes’ at the top of the deal page and click the little red next to yours.

      • Done. Thanks

  • +20

I was waiting to order when I get home later. Changing terms and conditions in the middle of a promo is not a good move.

    • +3

Was planning to do the same as well given that the T&C states the offer expiry being 11:59pm today. Sigh…

  • +7

This is totally appalling behavior from Shopback.

I clicked through from shopback shortly before 4pm and placed my order shortly after 4 pm. There was no warning on the shopback site that this deal had ended early, and I didn't think anything of it when the site reported "on your way to 5% Cashback" since I knew the 100% cashback would be added on later and had a cap.

I've still got the email from shopback sitting in my inbox advising that this offer lasts til midnight. What I don't have is a corresponding email from them warning me that they've pulled the plug early. I have comfortably over $100 balance in my shopback account, but at this stage I'm not sure if I'll ever use them again.

For anyone wishing to purchase from Chemist Warehouse, we're running an still running upsized cashback at a rate of 5%.

Seriously, are they just trying to piss people off even more with this crap?

  • +2

Damn I was literally about to order after planning to do so this morning.

  • +10

BS..placed one at 2pm WST, so misleading! You don't change your T&C half way! It's not even 12 hours FFS!

  • Dam missed out on the $10…did it as soon as i got home still %5 is better than nothing - definitely disappointed in Shopback though. Doesn't sound legit changing T&C's mid way through a promo.

    • +2

Well you got the -ve vote option

      • up voted when i was at work =(

  • +11

My summary is quite simple I think its illegal to change T&C's in play and going against all of the Australia Consumer Protection Laws .

Correct me gotyourback if I missed the T&C that was used ?

eg the one I'm used to from Ebay : Offer Period. This offer is available for a limited time only, for as long as it is advertised by eBay on www.ebay.com.au (“Offer Period”). eBay reserves the right to cancel the offer at any time.

  • +9

Totally agree that this is disgraceful as I had an order in checkout but decided to wait until I got home to double check something. Now Deal has Expired…………..WTF as would have checked out earlier had I known it had to be done? Not good shopback (or chemist warehouse) regardless of it being popular. That's the whole point…….gain attention and potential new customers!

  • +1

    WTF ended… lame.

  • +14
  • +1

    Missed out :((( Bullshit

  • +2

Oh no. Serves me right for being so busy in my life grr

  • +2

Poor SB. Probably in the future, if there is a limit, you should tell Ozb in advanced rather than prematurely withdraw the offer as it has reached the climax.

    • -1

but it's always a good idea to prematurely withdraw once you've reached climax.

  • +3

Farrr Out. Checked Expiry time and thought will place order when I reach home. Not good.

  • +1

Oh no, was just about to place an order. Wish I’d known there was a limit earlier :(

    • +11

𝔂𝓮𝓪𝓱 𝓸𝓯 𝓬𝓸𝓾𝓻𝓼𝓮 who would have expected many people to order? They obviously posted it on their website + ozbargain etc and were expecting only a handful to order. 𝓼𝓶𝓱

same as they were 𝓼𝓾𝓻𝓹𝓻𝓲𝓼𝓮𝓭 in this giveaway few months ago https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/474266

    • +9

I'm glad you're "not mad at neither party", but maybe you would be a little mad if you'd placed an order based on this promotion, only to find out that it had been pulled without warning sometime before.

There's still no warning on the shopback site even now unless you follow a link to the special promo page. If you just click through to the normal chemist-warehouse page there's nothing. They're really treating their customers with contempt.

    • +2

Assume 7000 who clicked on the deal took advantage of $10 cashback and assume they only purchased $10 worth of items (which i think many bought many items). That’s only $10*7000 = $70000 lost. Chemist warehouse is one of the big companies so surely this would not have such a major impact. And how often do they do this? Nearly never.

    • +1

I have to say I agree with you

I saw this at 5AM that morning, half delirious with a fever and jumped on it straight away thinking $10 free money wouldn’t last no matter what the T&Cs said

Happily got my click and collect confirmation from CW whilst I was getting antibiotics anyway and the counter staff were getting absolutely slammed, huge queue and it took them 5 mins just to find my order in the middle of a massive pile of them. I’m not surprised it was CW that pulled the plug, they are busy at the best of times.

Yes it really sucks they pulled it early but I still think it’s great they even did this at all and competition also helps to keep CR’s rates sharp.

  • +2

Saw it this morning when I woke up.. Put a reminder in my phone to buy something after work as I didn't have time yhirls morning.. Now expired :-(

  • +3

A big let down from shopback, I did make it before 3:20pm but would have been a very sad and mad person if I had held out until after work. I hope my cashback gets tracked too..

  • +2

Damn, saw the original evening expiry so set a reminder for after work!

  • +4

Wow this is really bad. Was going to order after work as there was no indication of expiry before midnight.

  • +4

Shit…. Saw the offer morning ; waited & waited thinking what to buy…ordered something now & then saw the edit… misssed big time.
Lesson learned: On SB offers, Act Quickly

  • I saw this deal 30 seconds after it was posted. I wish I had bought what I wanted then instead of going to sleep and waiting until I had time…

  • +1

    12:00 AM-11:59 PM AEDT 3:20PM AEDT

    Whatttttttttttttt!

  • -6

can mods ban shopback please? looks like a lot of people lost out…now i'm questioning whether they will actually pay out! Revoking my vote too

    • +6

Why don't you block them for yourself, but please don't speak for myself. Why ban them for others who've benefited so much from the competition they've brought to CR?

  • +1

SB should honour all purchases made todayy!!!

  • If they are honouring the purchases made till 3:20 pm, then this is not SB issue, but it is CWH who pulled the plug..

    • -2

      So they say..

  • +2

    Another Shopback scam.
I received the app alert that this would be valid until midnight.

  • +4

This seriously sucks. Was working this morning, triple checked expiry to make sure I could take a look and buy something worthwhile tonight.

Not sure if this has happened in past SB orders but hasn't in CR from what I can see.

Wish I could get my vote back from positive to neg this.

  • For those who voted positive and want to now remove it: on the top, click Votes>Revoke vote.
Unfortunately can't change to neg vote but at least can remove your plus.

  • Waiting until I got home as well. Very disappointing

  • Ahhh, I should've loaded up my cart at 2am when I first saw this.
    Damn. Oh well.
Shopback have been so good lately, but this was definitely a poor move. I can't really blame Shopback though, I mean it was Chemist Warehouse who quit it early.

    • -1

      So they say…

  • +1

Ordered around 11:33am. Still not tracked yet… 🙄

    • I ordered at 2.02pm Sydney time and also awaiting tracking email. There was a message stating it can take up to 3 days to track though. Hopefully it doesn't take that long.

  • got to be kidding.
    Email clearly states timeframe.
What did you expect to happen with the offer??? people not to take it up!>?

    Very poor by both parties.

I would even think this is BAIT advertising.

  • +4

Booo… people have to work during the day. Was going to order at home, so this sucks

  • +3

Shame on you Shop back. Don't mention expiry date/time when you are unsure.

  • imagine feeling okay with scamming your customers..

where are the wholesome businesses @ ??

  • +2

SB has always been shitty and this is another classic scam

  • Never SHOP BACK again, was trying to order.

  • +1

Typical chemist warehouse BS. Why am I not surprised! Give shopback a break guys! Theyre simply passing on a deal cwh decided to pull (but pull only halfway).

Lucky both hubby and I got onto it before these cnts decided to back out. Such a scmbag thing to do! Typical (edited) fashion!

  • +3

Deceptive behaviour changing t&cs half way through

  • +5

"place an order between 12:00 AM-11:59 PM AEDT on 16 October 2019 through ShopBack." - I think it is poor form pulling the deal with no update prior, IF there was a limit, you should have disclosed up front, first $xxx,000 worth, or # of transactions. and updated us along the way.

Luckily, I ordered at 8am. But did not receive a tracking email, so would not be surprised if my transaction does not get included. I ordered via the Shopback App on my phone.

  • +2

    Poor form.

  • +2

Saw post in the morning but decided to wait till tonight to order….doh!

  • +3

Just got a notification for this offer on my ShopBack app. Really?!

  • 12am really? poor form SB…

  • +2

WOW, just finished a long day, took my shower and wanting to put an order through. Come to this post only to find that it is expired. NEG

  • +2

Very poor form SB - had to cancel my order after reading the update. How will we ever know if you guys ever decide to pull the plug in future deals?

  • +1

changing terms and conditions in the middle of a promo is almost like bait and switch, almost deceptive and misleading

  • +5

Gessus how much profit money chemist warehouse make each day from all those daigous and they can't keep the promotion as planned? Come on….

  • +1

Very bad… if I wouldn't have come to ozb before ordering would never know this deal expired and would have gone ahead with my order… disappointing that the terms were changed mid way. Unfortunately I gave positive vote in the morning itself so cannot negate now.

    • You can always revoke your vote if you want by going to the votes tab near pos/neg buttons

      • Yes… I did revoke my vote. But does not allow me to neg unfortunately. Although I must admit my experience with sb so far has been very good. But just very disappointed that a deal terms were changed midway. Had almost ordered which feels very deceptive.

        • Me too. I loved shopback due to its fast tracking and bigger discounts. But as you and everyone said, this is totally unfair and just sucks

  • +4

    bad form …

  • Not happy about this at all, am completely disappointed with my recent experiences with Shopback with this Deal ending early and a few weeks ago with their manrags deal that didn't even get fulfilled for me despite paying for the first month.

  • +2

    Bad. Sudden change of promo.

  • +1

Vote revoked. Wish I could neg. Very deceptive behaviour from SB and CW.

  • Oh jeez. Only just saw the premature death of promo now that I’ve sat down to pick out what to buy. That stinks.

  • Chemist Warehouse are dodgy. Hardly shocking news. I got the offer so I guess I'll keep my +vote there but SB should be careful as the wrath can be fierce…

  • +2

Waited like the others and missed out. Why do you bother with the T&Cs if they mean nothing at the end of the day?

  • Damn. Missed

  • +2

Saw this in the morning and was going to purchase after I got home. Shame the T&Cs changed.

  • +2

Saw it this morning and thought I would wait till after work. Shame it ended prematurely. Poor form SB

  • +2

Damn I just jumped on to put an order through thinking I had until midnight like I read earlier today and am greeted with an expired tag. Guess I won't be creating a shopback account after all. Have my first neg

  • +1

was just about to order.. so disappointed with this

  • Missed

  • +2

Damn calm down guys. Sucks that they had to pull out early but it was a promo gift, you're no worse off if you missed it.

    • +3

actually I am worse off because I chose my items after browsing well within time but had no clue I would end up being excluded, so I spent time doing all this only to be disappointed

    • +2

Nothing wrong with pulling a deal early (I mean it's annoying as a consumer) but you put words to the effect of, "SB reserve the right to end this deal early if our marketing allocation is exhausted" or whatever.

Outcome is the same (deal ends early), but you included a "clause" to cover your ass and then people can't really be as pissed off.

Nothing indicated that this would at all be pulled early, and people made decisions/plans around this. I understand the frustration, personally.

  • -4

Purchase on SB app was made at 12:02PM, well before the cut off time. Still ended up only being tracked for the 5%

    • +3

Cashback will track at 5%, however we will add in a top up amount to add up to the 100% (max $10) by 31 October

    • +4

Cashback will track at 5%, however we will add in a top up amount to add up to the 100% (max $10) by 31 October.

  • +1

Glad I forgot to order earlier then – I didn't even know the promo had ended, as I had only read the email they sent me. Absolutely dodgy behaviour, which should definitely be reprimanded.

  • I was wrong, all good.

  • -3

Did anyone else just get shocked with their shopback amount?
Can anyone confirm that they got the 100% cashback?
I made my order 8:06am and still got sent an email saying that I got 60cents (5%) cashback instead of 100%……
    not happy CB really dodge….

    • -1

My bad just read the last comment.

  • -3

    Got only 5% cashback

    https://imgur.com/qyCAx9X

  • Geesus the amount of people who didn't read …. I think this kind of promotion is way too complicated. Just give us the real store discount

  • +1

    BS deal.. 5 percent back.
Better off just going to CW when they got the sale items on.

  • +2

And I guess CW and SB didnt send the 2nd email amending the ends time, right? So some people will not aware if not checking ozb? Oh boy this is so wrong….. I get it mistakes happens. But you need to let people know, notify them and give decent notification time of possible….

  • -5

I placed my order at 14:30 AEDT. Yet order has been tracked at 5%? Anyone else having same issue?
