they might target on demographics and metrics like weekly spend. They don't seem to target QLD very often for example.
My family in Brisbane is targeted every week now with good offers. eg 3000pts for $50 shop until Sunday.
No Chromecast, just Nest offer so far - on 4 x $50.
Is there a way to see what targeted deals you have like you can with Flybuys?

$155 spend for Chromecast or 13,000 points for me… Too much!
Take the points if you don't think the ($58) Chromecast is worth it. 13,000 points are normally accrued at $1 per 1 point, outside of promotions.
This deal gives you ($155x4) = $620 for 13K points = $1 per 20.9 points.
If you are already shopping there and spending that much per week, it isn't costing you any extra.
Points can be converted to Qantas FF points 2,000WWpts = 870 Qpts or $10 WW voucher.
So the 13,000 pts will give you $60 back on your next shop, if you don't use them for other purchases.

Keep in mind that the first week is 10 days long. I shopped on friday and qualified for my first week, if I shop again this following friday, it's still Week 1. Keep this in mind and check the qualifying dates before you stock up on discounted toilet roll for no reason haha.

the minimum spend is based on your past spend, they probably change the Google product based on the calculate profit margin they would make from your required spend (eg. $110x4) and the price the purchase the product from Google for. If you've received a free Google Mini in the past from them, they may also offer you something else. Google probably had criteria of how they wanted the products distributed when they provided them to Woolworths at a subsidised price…
Anyone here knows if prepaid Visas are excluded?
