  • I've dealth with Harris Technology before, I ordered a SCSI card low profile from them, they said will have to shop it from another supplier and it took about 3 weeks for myself to chase up whats been happening and they told me they couldn't get it anymore….. be careful what you order!

    • I've always had a good experience with them.. i get my stuff the next day most times… i guess no store can be 100% all the time :)

But HT would be a 8 out of 10 store for sure! just as good if not better then PCCasegear… another great online store.

      • +1

Agreed. You just need to be careful ordering the excellent "run out deals" from HT, because they do run out.

Same would happen from any retailer, and note these are retail stores, unlike pccg etc, so their online stock accounting can't be 100% all the time.

Which can be an advantage, like how I got the 1.5TB USB3 2.5" goflex for $78 last week on HT runout, when they couldn't find the sole remaining runout usb2 version I ordered.

        • Most PC stores have a much nicer online presence than their physical store.
Gone to PC Case Gear (when it was located in Oakleigh), CPL Notting Hill and West Melbourne, and MLN Richmond.
Unless I'm in the area (most of the time I'm nowhere near them), I would much rather sit at home in comfort and order online.

The only PC store that is better "in person" than online is MSY :P

Been to HT store in Hawthorn once and I won't be rushing back there even if they have amazing "run out deals."

I'll stick to ordering online and being disappointed when their archaic online stock system rejects my pick up order.

  • How are the tech specs on the surge protector?
    Could someone in-the-know comment?

    Thanks

  • What is Hi-Speed USB? USB-2 or USB-3?

    • USB 2.0

      • USB 2.0 as is, but upgradeable to USB 3.0, FireWire® 800 or eSATA with cable/kit
