Good deal. I got the ac1750 version of this (c8) five months ago to upgrade the crummy zte router I got with exetel nbn hfc. Made a huge difference. Haven’t had to reset the router yet. Big improvement in speed and coverage too.

    • Your comment had answered all the questions I had mind when looking at this deal. You the MVP.

  • Bought this 3 years ago at twice the price. Good modem/router

This one is the router only version, no modem.

    • Do you know the model number of yours? Looking for a modem/router :)

      • Phoebus is correct

        I have a TP-link archer D9, not this C9

  • These have really good range. Better than a much newer high end Netgear in my house.

  • says "End of life" - any cause for concern?

    • It was released a few years ago so it's being replaced by a new model I assume. Might mean no more firmware updates however the latest firmware should be pretty refined since it's been out for a few years. The newer version is probably the c3150 or the ax50 (coming soon)

  • Bought this unit a couple of years ago for nearly $300 (did come with a camera). Works well, only gripe is lots of heat is generated by this small device (relatively)

  • I'm a frustrated owner of D9. Used it for ADSL for a few months before switching to NBN, only to find that its not compatible with FTTN. Grrrr..

    • Not the fault of the D9.

    • You can just get a cheap and nasty FTTN modem/router and plug it into that. I'm using the cheap-as one I got from MyRepublic years ago, plugged into a router.

Great router. Been running DD-WRT on it for a couple of years. Good wifi range and performance.

    lol

  • I did some googling but can’t find the answer written plainly anywhere - is this useable with FTTC? I think the answer is yes but I’m not a tech person and want to check for sure.

It is yes because ISP will provide us a FTTC NBN box. We then connect that box to any router on WAN port.

If you need to use telephone then you have to use a modem from provider as it will have telephone port at the back. Otherwise any Router/WiFi router will works.
My area will be FTTC as well.
