These things dry out quickly. It's actually a good thing that it collects drainage water.
It's also dumb as not all these plants require water 24/7. Could actually kill a few of them by overwatering.

They're just seedlings… Letting them dry out will kill them quicker.

Keep in mind if you're using these, a lot of people have reported mould growing on the plants. The base doesn't promote good drainage and airflow.

Contrary to this point, I was informed that the mould isn't bad for the plant. My coriander seems to be thriving!

We've been using old strawberry punnets to hold these, with a layer of cardboard underneath them for holding moisture. Can fit 6 in each punnet just nicely. But the punnets usually have holes in the bottom so they can sometimes leak when watered unless you put them on a plate.
We have heaps of these now, now trying to get the rare ones! Funny considering you can go anywhere and buy fancy seeds. But kids love these things.

Anyone know when this promotion is wrapping up? Staff are handing me 3-4 seed packs every shop lately.
I was told it ended yesterday. They had nothing to give us on Sunday and were out of the trays as well. This is at Woolies Majura Park in Canberra.
Our local stores ran out last week and said they weren't getting any more in. We're three short of the full set so looks like I'll have to turn to the black market to keep the kids happy.
Been counting down until these were discounted as I wanted the plastic tags!!
