Same as jb's delivered price and we all know jb's price is crazy

      • +4

"(Eee Pad Dock Sold Separately)"… but JB has it included

        • With the MLN rep could do a further discount for us xD

i believe it's 8 hours battery for tablet alone, dock adds an extra 8.

HSDPA for something like this would be awesome…. guess if USB dongles work with them it would be just as good…

OMG why are you asking about battery life?
    its in your own post!
9.5 hours; 24.4Wh Li-Polymer Battery, 16 hours with dock (Eee Pad Dock Sold Separately),

Apparently ASUS tweeted that the HSDPA version is due in August (https://twitter.com/#!/ASUSAU/status/77548540812984320). However anecdotal rumors is that anything with the keyboard dock may take a while because that component is made in Japan, which is still recovering from the earthquakes & tsunamis.

They are cheaper when Amazon has them in stock. Around $650 landed. The warranty is global too so I'm not sure why the AU stock is $100+ more.

    • US has a much larger economy scale hence the cheaper price. It's like group buy.

  • Some people say that Amazon is cheaper, but I can't never seem to find the 32GB + dock version that is cheaper than the JB one ozhunter posted! Anyone know the link?

http://www.amazon.com/Transformer-TF101-B1-10-1-Inch-Tablet-… around $505 for the 32gb version, dock (sold separately) is $150 but out of stock at amazon.

      • +1

It is in stock, I can place order on Amazon now. The price without docking is

        Asus Transformer $481.95 AUD ($489.99USD)
        Shipping $13.92 AUD ($14.16 USD)

        All-in price is $495.41 AUD (504.15 USD)

If you order from Amazon then please select check-out in USD option instead of AUD because even with the exchange fee charged by your bank it is still better than Amazon rate. If you have 28Degree Mastercard (Wizard Clear Advantage) this will only cost you about $475 AUD only.

Dock should be about $100 extra. So this is NO deal for me and it will get a -NEG vote from me.

I reckon this is the best Android tablet on the market right now. Be nice if it wasn't so expensive.

    check this http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=asus+transformer&N=…

32g tablet + dock is about 650usd and shipping to aus is about 70 so all in all will cost about 720usd.
with the strong aud dollar, this will be cheaper.

i think i saw a blog that this is the 2nd spot on the tablet sales next to ipad…im also thinking of getting one.

not a bargain, its the same price INCLUDING the dock at JBHIFI as mentioned above.

  • Yeh … a bit too expensive. I've seen cheaper.
You find a whole bunch of US prices here:
    http://www.nowinstock.net/computers/tablets/asus/

Cheapest should be from Amazon.com, selling at around US$399 for the 16GB version. For the 32GB w/o the dock is about US$499. So i have to -ve this one.

  • It's cheaper at frys.com
    No dice.

    • No, that's the Acer Iconia. It is still an android tablet though.

  • I had seen other places selling at $749 already, this is not really a bargain.

Happy to do the 32GB for $729 for anyone in Perth, new (or $549 for the 16GB). simply message me and I'll happily give you info of where I work :3

  • Actually, I also seen the 16Gb version selling $499 (no dock) too.

There is a receipt on Whirlpool for the 32+dock for $610. I used it at HN and got the same price.

Saw the 16gb for $498 at JB in Perth today.
