For the last few months the regular price was ~$2.6k and with the usual 20-30% sales it brought it down to around the $2k mark.

I noticed the new low regular price of $2K a few days ago, however it was excluded from the current 34% off monitor sale. However when i checked it today, it was suddenly included in the sale.

It could be a possible mistake or maybe this is really the new low price. Either way this is the cheapest as its ever been.

I was originally planning to get a Samsung CRG9 due to the high refresh rate, but at nearly half the price of a Samsung CRG9 i'm willing to live with the 60hz as i tend to use the monitor more for productivity than hardcore gaming atm.

P.S Also there's a 12% cashback on Monitors at Shopback.

              @Raif: all the Dell emails from these guys went to my Junk folder.

              • @Elijha: Thanks guys,

                I checked and I've been charged the money. No email in junk, but I'll follow up today if I don't get an email.

    • it will refresh the price to the new higher one after you adding to cat. I managed to chat with support to get the 1290.30 deal.

  • What I just bought?!!

  • is this still valid? shows as $1249 from the links above but not sure if that usd or aud?

    why do i need 49"?

    • Do you trade?

  • +1

    Ordered via Chat. Didn't need to show the rep any screenshot.

  • Managed to order

  • Watching a movie on this screen is going to be a whole new experience.

    • I don't know of any movies in the 32:9 ratio haha, a standard Ultrawide maximizes on the cinema spec experience

    • +1

      whole new black bar experience… movies are 21:9

  • Just tried my luck on chat, rep requested the screenshot and said they will get back to me…

    The $1249 price is USD so that's no good, but as already mentioned if you go to the monitor page (https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-ultrasharp-49-curved-mo…) and scroll down to tech specs, it is still listed at $1280.39.

  • +1

    Just bought one.. almost two!

    • I love how the stacked monitor looks on the product page, the one with the lady.

      • If you were going to stack a 4K TV might be just as good if not more versatile for the use of space as you could still go "full screen"?

  • Just ordered one as well.

    I was looking at these about 6 weeks ago but didn't go ahead, the price was too good to pass over in this instance! Thanks ozbargain and Kingdoofus.

  • Argh no freesync/g-sync or hdr. So damn tempted!

  • Damn! Just saw other's people's comment about buying through chat. Wish I thought of that before the closed!

  • Genuine question…

    Why would anyone buy this when they could get a similar sized full screen 4k TV?

    Are the 4k TVs good for computer / gaming use?

    I'm not looking for one now but I'm just thinking about the future.

    I was previously tempted to buy a 32" LCD TV to use as a monitor but was told the resolution would not be good for general business use. But that's all changed with 4k hasn't it?

    Is it now feasible and good to have a 40 something inch 4k TV as a monitor?

    • I am using a 4K 32" monitor now and I think sideways is better for my need than downwards. Only time will tell.

    • +2

      In a cinema, everyone is looking at same screen, but for some reason, almost no one wants to be in very front row. I wonder why.

  • +1

    Not seeing it for $1280 anywhere anymore :(

  • +3

    Those who are interested, it could still be bought for $1280 via Dell chat support.

    • do they send you an email and quote? or do you have to buy it on the spot?

      • +1

        They will send you a quote via email.

        • I was only offered to buy it on the spot, so it seems to depend on the rep you get.

          • @Raif: Mine said they will send me a quote and I need to confirm by tomorrow only cause i left my wallet at home.

            He also doesn't like me…quite agressive or at least fed up probably from ozbargainers finding this error lol

    • What did you ask for in particular, as the direct links posted previously all return the new $1900 price?

      • +1

        I told him that 'I am interested in buying U4919DW. I could see its advertised price as $1280 but when I go to the product it shows around $1940'. Sales guy asked me if I have any screenshot. I emailed him the picture and he sent me quote.

        • Me too. I don't think they'll honour it for much longer so snap it up and ask for 1 day quote and confirm tomorrow, gives you an extra day to review it and then buy it :P

          • @pippohippo: How did you get the quote, do you have the screenshot of the 1280 price by any chance? If you don’t mind sharing

            • +1

              @spc12go: They sent me an email with a quote and said i left my wallet at home and I want to confirm either tonight or tomorrow morning. They said okay.

              https://imgur.com/a/NVfv0OO

              Link should work - tested before sharing.

            • @spc12go: I mentioned that I had seen the monitor advertised at the $1280 price but it wasn't reflected in cart. The assistant told me it was an error with the website and that's where I thought the conversation would end. I asked if she would honour it and she said they could make an exception and asked for my personal details to email quote. No screenshot necessary.

              • @haritone: Was told they need to get an approval before can send the quote. Thanks for your help

  • +1

    Got the quote, now to decide…

    • Same.. haha

    • Just wondering how we buy from the quote and if we can stack with Shopback or Cashrewards?

      • +1

        won't be able to get cashbacks.

    • my decision is this monitor or a new tv (simple one)…

  • Anyone got any view of this one compared to this C49J89:

    Dell:
    * 49"
    * IPS
    * 3YR Warranty
    * $1280 (crazy discount)
    * 60Hz

    * 3800R

    Samsung:

    * VA - not ideal
    * 3YR Warranty
    * $1199 (no special discount)
    * 144Hz
    * 3840 x 1080 - I think this kills it for me.
    * Vesa
    * 4ms
    * 1800R

    My order was just accepted by Dell. If anyone wants some screenshots so that they too can get the price PM me. Paid $1,280.39

  • +1

    im happy with my lg 34 but maybe i'll buy this and put it side by side to get 83" screen real estate?

    • DO IT! :D

    • I got the LG 34UM57 from a previous deal in 2016 and considering updating…

  • Just copped this after a few hrs of talk with the agent, made them use my dell advantage coupon so got it for $920.39 total. SUPER EXCITED TO GET IT!!!!
    They didn't ask for any screenshots in my case.

    • can you send me your order number, i'll get them to match this. thanks@!!!!

      • I don't think they'll match it to what I got it for, because I got the dell advantage coupon of $360 from purchasing their Alienware laptop

    • dell res is 5120 x 1440 at 60 Hz no HDR IPS QHD no freesync USBC
      vs
      Kogan res 3840 x 1080 at 144Hz and HDR VA QLED freesync no USB C

      depends on what you prefer.

  • Has anyone got the order confirmation email yet with a proper order number not a quote order number? My card has been charged and still waiting, though he said 24-48 hours.

    • +1

      Yep I have a tracking number.

    • I have an order confirmation and expected delivery date.

    • If I don't get a response by tomorrow, should I ask them?

  • I got the U3219Q instead. thanks for the tips.

    • how much ?

      • $871.87

        • thanks

  • +1

    Decided for a long time , got one finally.

  • +1

    Ozbargained. They honoured the price. Thanks for the information!

  • Yep can confirm also got this deal for two of these through Sirisha this afternoon in AEST! Ozbargained!

  • For all of us that purchased one of these, what desk mounts are out there that will work well, but also look good?

    • issue is the weight of this monitor rules out a lot of options. I think i read somewhere its 12kg. Nothing on kogan that supports this weight

  • +1

    Mine just arrived. Excellent service by Dell. Massive box and real heavy, too. Need two people to carry it. I'm sure the monitor itself isn't going to be much lighter.

    • when did you order it I only received the invoice today

    • I ordered mine on Wed an hour after the bargain was posted.

    • Mine was shipped on Thursday yet Startrack are throwing up the old "Tracking number 0000***** does not appear to have been scanned in our network", so I guess it will get here when it gets here :)

  • Does anyone connect this monitor via a MacBook Pro 13–inch (2019 model)? I am not sure it supports 5120x1440 resolution.

    Thanks

    • You should be fine - connect via USB-C and it will even charge your laptop at the same time.

      "One display with 5120-by-2880 resolution at 60Hz in over a billion colours"

    • got it this afternoon, works great on the 15" at least

    • Mine is MBP 2015 and it doesn’t support 5120-1440.
      Had to split screen into two sections and connect via two cables.
      Thus I got two 27 inch displays.

  • +2

    Also managed to order one via online chat this afternoon.

  • Received mine today. It's better than 43inch 4K non-curved monitor I have been using for 2 years :-). Paired with XPS 15 9560 + TB16 via a display port and getting 5120X1440@60Hz fine.

    • +1

      Mine overclocked to 76Hz, using the display port without any problems. Can't get it any higher than that without frame skipping, but I feel like 25% improvement is noticeably nicer. TBH, struggle to get games to run at above 80FPS on this beast.

    Just got my order status…it's not coming for another month. 28/11 is the estimated date.

    • Received the same, delivery date pushed back a month to start of december.

    • Same.

      Original ETA 27/10
      New ETA 25/11

      • mine says shipped today but estimated delivery 26/11. no tracking number yet.

        • Wow! Keep us posted. No updates yet for mine. :(

          • @yjm: it showed up in my auspost account instead. ETA 5 nov =)

            • @jaylee88: Original ETA 27/10
              New ETA 25/11

              Got a txt earlier. Mine is being delivered tomorrow.✌😀

              • @yjm: Had an original ETA of 25/11 but received a message yesterday and it was delivered today!

  • +1

    Had it up last night replacing my BenQ IPS 4K 32". Boy…it's wiiide. I had to recalibrate the mouse again :)

    • Wdym? Make it faster?
      Do you need to sit further back from the monitor?

    • It is about 80mm more forward than the BenQ, so technically yes. But if I move back then the desk (and KB) will be too far to reach. So I push the stand further back until the back is hanging out. Pretty much until the vertical is right at the edge. It is still a bit too close for my liking because it is so wide, but I can live with it.

      I feel for those that have to wait for a month for delivery. Maybe Dell will re-stock sooner than that. I am so lucky to have it within 2 days.

      • Waiting a whole month for a monitor that was originally quoted an ETA of 2 business days is just not acceptable. :( I assume they're waiting on new shipments, as all local stock depleted/ozbargained.

        I'm "upgrading" from a Dell p4317q which I've been quite happy with, so I'm not really in a hurry. But! I still can't wait to be blown away by the extra inches. :)

  • Received an offer to buy this but already have a 34 inch so maybe I'll pass.

    • You can still get this offer from DELL today?

  • Bummer i missed this deal … any similar deals out there for similar screen?

  • Anyone able to recommend a single monitor arm for this bad boy?

  • for those who bought the monitor. what part number did you get? I originally received 03W0GW rev A05 but had to do a warranty replacement and got a different one after that 0DY97M rev A02. they are both U4914DW.
