      That is not the only requirement, some ISPs require VLAN tagging (which this router can do).

  We should be starting to see, or already seeing, some wifi6/ax routers at this price. Agree, not with the same pedigree as the Asus AC86/88! Something to look at/consider if it's just an opportunistic upgrade.

    not unless ax is something that can be added through software (doubtful). this is a relatively old model. having said that, I have it and have been using it for the past 1.5 years and it has been rock solid.
