QLEDs are nowhere close to OLED in terms of blacks.
I own a QLED and the blacks are faded. I raised it with Samsung and they replaced the panel but since QLED is glorified LCD-LED, the problem was not resolved.
Every time the technicians come with a document which says ‘its hard to produce blacks’ to explain me why blacks are faded.

At this price, I will go for OLED.

    • Definitely.
No justifiable reason to buy this tech, at this screen size, for this money, when OLED exists.

      85 inch maybe.

But q is greater than o

    • That's because Samsung likes to keep black levels low for some reason. It loses details in some scenes, lowers HDR highlights and crushes blacks. Trying to avoid the blooming that Sony FALD TV's have I guess? IDK. In their eyes there's nothing to fix unless they change their ideology.

Either way this TV is ridiculously overpriced. Get a X950G if you want a decent OLED alternative that doesn't completely break the bank.

    • Which QLED do you own, is it the q90r? The one in this post has very good blacks for an LED. Besides unable to match it completely in black levels it competes very well with OLED. Having said that though the price Samsung are asking for this is ridiculous. May as well go OLED up to 65" at this price but when it comes to larger sizes, OLED is still too expensive.

      • Agree - this TV is really good if you are watching it in a bright sunny lounge. Also I think there is something with OLED and burn in which Samsung claims will never be an issue with QLED. A friend had this and it looks pretty good - I’m no expert. Game mode etc maybe an added benefit. I think Q70R maybe a better value though at this price
