NOTE: Thank you to everyone who supported our deal and for your understanding when the codes failed to work for some people, we are not sure why it worked for some and not others. We hope by having the price manually set to $2 everyone who wanted to purchase an item could. I am also going to leave the pillow cover set up at $2 for the next few hours just to make sure everyone gets something!

Thanks - op

Oh, only 2 minutes to purchase. I imagine this will go well.

    • +18

Can't be any more worse then the eBay deals lol

    • +1

2 minutes. What could go wrong?

      • Let's watch the neg votes on this deal roll in grabs popcorn

    • Nobody seems to have read the comment from op stating they would redo the deal if it messed up and there's stock left. It worked for some of us, so it wasn't just a flat out scam.

  • +9

    Truly one for the professionals

    • +1

I know. I'm like midnight?!?! I'll be asleep. Wtf do I do? Set an alarm?

  • -8

2 minutes? I tried both the chair cover codes and neither work.

    • +1

from 11:59pm tonight to 12:01am tomorrow AEDT

    • +3

Try again? (in about 7 hours)

      • -3

I don't think i want santa hat chair covers that bad.

  • +18

Upvoted. at least you're transparent about the deal lasting 2min and 10k in stock. unlike some other stores that hypes it up with only double digit stock.

    • +4

Two sets of scales, 4 bluetooth speakers and 9900 towel rings?

      • Down to one scale. Someone couldn't wait.

      • Lol

      • +1

There are only 500 towel rings so try not to miss out on them!
        Edit: Towel Rings not rails

      • How can you tell how much of each item are available?

[edit] Sorry - my sarcasm filter was malfunctioning…

    • +13

How dare they, petry. How bloody dare they.

    • +4

Imagine that! What a lousy company, making sure that a lot of customers get a single item rather than a few get a lot of items. SHAME!

      • -4

stay up till midnight and go for your 2 buck bargain then…..

  • +6

I think even with 10k stock and 2 minutes we know which item is gonna get sold out first.

Yeah that Christmas themed Wine Bottle Cover Set is PREMO!

    • +1

How else would I hide the wine?

  • Will this be free shipping for non prime members?

    • No I am afraid its not. But you can sign up for a free trial.

  • +3

Any comments on this scale vs Renpho?

  • +4

    only the most devout Ozbargainers

C'mon OP, you could make it challenging at 4am.

    • +9

      nahhh thats too easy.

      between 2am-4am for 2minutes.

      • +1

        1 minute*

    • Daylight Saving makes it even more fun. 22:59 to 23:01 here.

      • How cute ;)

  • +15

    Yay for living in WA

    • +5

First and last time anyone will ever say that.

  • +4

"A little thank you from AstiVita" to make you late for work tomorrow morning after you accidentally sleep in!

  • -1

I hope their servers can handle this. Probably pass on this madness.

    • +18

You think we're capable of taking down Amazon's servers?

      • I have faith in my fellow Ozbargainers! :)

      • Yep I remember the Amazon servers crawling to a halt after this infamous deal

    • I think the 'zon can do it

    • Amazon != Catch :P

  • A true bargain for only the most devout Ozbargainers.

2 minutes is still too easy.

  • OP

So only the $2 stuff on sales for 2 mins only? Rest we will have 2 days is this correct?

EDIT: Which time zone are we talking about here?

    • AEDT, it says in the first line.

  • +2

Don't forget to combine this deal with Amazon $2 Bonus Cashback with Minimum $5 Spend

    • How can the minimum $5 be met when it's $2 each and can't purchase all in the same transaction?

      • +2

You can purchase all at the same time and also stack codes. Try it yourself with Taotronics deal.
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/492536

        • you need to move quick mate. they only track cash back if your cart starts empty.

        • I wonder if you can activate cashback let's say 11:55 for example. Add items to your cart and then apply the codes after 11:59 then checkout?

    • +4

You do realise that CB offer ends 11.59, which isbthe start of this promo, don't you?

  • +1

I still have baby wipes, nerf gun and Vegemite from eBay. Bring it on!

  • +6

There gonna be a lot of dissapointment later tonight.

    • +3

      that's what she thinks

  • Astivita please put a buy limit per person. 1 per person per item perhaps?

  • +6

If there are any issues with codes/ Amazon servers freeze, please message me here and we will rerun the deal again for everyone.
This is the biggest deal we have ever attempted and I hope it runs smoothly :)

    • When you are saying rerun for everyone, do you mean you will have enough stock for the promo price ?

      • +1

If an entire product sells out then we cannot rerun the deal for that item, but I am guessing the code would have been working in that senario.

        • I am assuming the limit of one product(quantity) per user?

          • +7

@777: Yes one of each item per user!

    • Plenty of issues with the codes. Amazon worked fine. Is there a reason why there is a 2-minute limit on it?
(seems like this produced an unwanted response from the OzB people)

  • ITS GONNNA BE A DISASTAAAAAA

  • +2

astivita, you've underestimated the number of true ozbargainers.
take care of your servers tonight!

    • +2

      take care of your servers

      You mean Amazon?

    • You underestimate the Amazon servers man

  • lolz … I can see a tough night for amazon IT engineers :p

    • +1

Haha nothing going to happen to their cloud servers; they have redundancy which is big enough to handle entire Australian Internet users base

  • -1

    for 2 minutes only

No deal here. Just bait marketing. If deals are expected to have a minimum quantity it should also be expected to have a minimum duration.

    • +4

10,000 items for $2 a piece. Sounds like a bargain to me.

      • Your assuming 10,000 units will be sold. If they were prepared to sell 10,000 units they wouldn't limit the sale to 2 minutes. It would be while stock lasts. Good luck grabbing your desired item

        • +3

Yes I do hope all 10,000 units do not sell out haha - then I would be in big trouble, but we expect over 6000 units to be sold and some of the products to be sold out entirely.
We have had a $1 tap sell over 200 units in 30 seconds, don't underestimate ozbargain purchasing power!

            • +27

@4agte: You do not have to buy a $2 product if you do not want to, apologies for forcing it on you.

              • @Astivita: But how we can miss a bargain?
                That's not us 😂

              • +2

@Astivita: My favourite comment on this thread.

              • -5

@Astivita: Hey mate. Just coming back to see how that 2 minute sale sale worked out for you at midnight?

Things didn't go as planned? You're right you didn't force anyone to buy anything. Your screwing up made sure their were plenty people that missed out.

I'll go back to by point. Sell units not a ridiculous time allocation which you stuffed up

                • @4agte: Very well. They sold out of the scales and bluetooth speaker. I got 3 items so not bad.

  • Uhh, so does anyone know what the quality of the scale is like? 😬

    • +1

The question is, if it is poor quality, would you still buy at $2?

      • Do you just buy things because they are cheap? $2 is better in one's pocket than landfill.

        • +4

Do you just buy things because they are cheap?

          No. I mean, yes. 😳

    • what the quality of the scale is like?

      no clue
hopefully it won't be like those printers, that are cheaper to buy than the cartridges

in this case the replacement batteries will definitely cost more than $2

    • +1

what the quality of the scale

Positive reviews on the Amazon.it site

  • -6

Mods, I don't think such deals should be allowed. It's just like deals that don't have sufficient quantity.

    • +1

Total stock for the $2 products is well in excess of 10,000 units

      • -3

        Who knows for sure?

        • +1

Have a look back at their deals posted, they last a lot longer than what you think.

  • +3

What is the limit per person?

    • +1

One of each item per user.

  • Can I add all these on my cart and then check-out straight away when it hits 11:59:00?

    • No because every item has different discount code/coupon.

  • AEST?

  • So what time does this start at WA? 20:59 Perth time?

  • +1

Oh and don't forget to forget about cashrewards. You'll waste precious time.

    • +1

Yea it hurts that I didn't use Shopback/Cashrewards for all up $14. Too afraid it was going to sell out by the time I clicked it through…

  • +4

Can't wait to see all the negs tonight at 12:02

  • +7

I'm not going to bother with the 2 mins at midnight, but I do applaud the rep for being active, transparent and running some good deals.

  • +2

Lol at two minutes pass midnight . Lots of tired people at work tmr

  • -2

Is it free shipping? If not I'll pass.

    • Free only if you have Amazon prime.

  • How does it technically work?

If an item is added to the cart before 11:59, but then I go to checkout at 11:59 and enter the discount code, is that ok?

Or on the other side: if I add the item at 11:59, enter the discount code at midnight, but only manage to click the 'Place Your Order' button at 12:01, what happens?

With servers slowing down under OzBargain load that is a likely scenario…
