US stuff is made with high fructose corn syrup instead of sugar. It has a pretty distinctive taste

Like Dr Pepper it's earlier the UK or the USA.
I've seen then on the shelves where they are made in Australia "under supervision". Maybe not made anymore, not sure.

Not really, I tried one of these and it doesn't taste quite like Pepsi. More like Coca-Cola that's gone flat.
In other words, gross = no diabetus!
I've tried about 10 cola variants over the years from the coke/Pepsi stables, and found them all undrinkable.
The absolute worst was the coke/black coffee flavour!
Damn.. I thought that coke + coffee was fantastic, and i've yet to be able to find it again. That being said I haven't touched a non-sugar free soda in a few years now, so I don't think i'd be getting it again either way.
That was a great flavour. Great as an occasional drink, but a very bad match with food of any flavour. It just didn't blend.
The only other one I like is vanilla, but I prefer it to normal coke.
Undrinkable??
I think the vanilla and the lemon varieties have been good. Others I like trying anyway since it's a new experience but Coke No Sugar and Pepsi Max are fine.
These 1893 cans aren't the best but I wouldn't call them undrinkable.
Just speaking of others I've tried, not the 1893s.
