I am pretty sure its Echo DOT not Amazon Echo with Alexa. Becasue Amazon Echo with Alexa 3rd generation is due to release in JBhifi stores in november.

Thanks OP. Got 2 from my local store in regional Victoria for $49 each (10 minutes ago). The checkout guy was unsure of the price and checked with the manager. They both thought it was a pricing error but decided to give it to me as it was scanning for $49.

I went to the store and they told me it was the echo dot 3rd, not the larger one which is not available yet.

the echo dot 3rd gen is $49, also seen on amazon.

if anyone got the larger one, as per the picture, I guess they were the lucky ones.
