pretty unique chance to get this model at a reasonable price. Its an online price but including 5% discount and $10 delivery charge. To get the 5% off it needs to be your first online puchase at Bing Lee and subscribe to their news letter, and the savings doesnt show in the shopping card but im told is listed in checkout

Specs are
Intel® Core i7-2630QM 2.0 GHz
6GB DDR3 memory
750GB SATA (5400 rpm) HDD
15.6" HD LED BrightView Display (1366x768)
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64
AMD Radeon HD 6770M (1 GB DDR5) Graphics
Blu-ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD±R/RW Double Layer Drive

two differences to the 6024tx for $1000 at other stores atm is the extra 2GB ram and bluray drive. Very decent for an extra $55. The sale price is till tomorrow and its an online deal

binglee wins, but OW will pricematch (5% off price including the $10 delivery fee) if you print out the invoice price from binglee (they did last time i bought an asus laptop)

except the 6025tx at OW is an online purchase only and they dont 5% pricematch anything for their online only prices

    • I missed the [Online Only] part

I failed to read again :(

  • yea theyve really ramped up the amount of un-price-matchable online only prices ,, atm OW 6024tx is about the only good deal theyre selling instores and sometime in the last few days Bing Lee had it for $979, which wouldve meant um… $940 delivered (with subscription discount) and OW wouldve been forced to give you 5% off that aswell if your method held up, dropping it to $892.

    • also JB-HiFi has 15$ off HP and Compaq which helps if going to OW for in store items, but this bing lee price is fantastic

Seems like a good deal, nice graphics card and CPU, not a big fan of HP though… have pretty high failure rates (PROOF - http://www.squaretrade.com/pages/laptop-reliability-1109

With Asus and Toshibas failure rates before 3 years under 16%, and HP's at 25.6%

    • Yup, HP are basically the worst out there. Not sure I'd want to trust a $1000 laptop with them.

      • my HP dv3 is still goin strong! :D but then again i don't use it that often cos i got a desktop LULZZZZ :D

  • nice deal…..I was looking at this notebook at JBHIFI. I think it's around 1300 in the shop this week.
But if there is a similar spec in Acer or Asus at same price…would definitely go for Asus then Acer. HP build is not my favourite.

    • theres not, its basically a mid range gaming laptop, the hd6770m cards equal to an nvidia gt555m which you cant get with the other specs from Asus/Acer/Dell etc for close to 1k. Youd expect to pay about $1400-1600 and noone else sells laptops with 6770m

sure HPs been voted least reliable for most of the last decade, but theyre also one of the top two mnfrs of comps in the US or globally (next to Dell) so buying confidence obviously remains steady or improves year on year. I wouldnt discourage ppl buying one if the specs and price are right, but yea get extra warranty

      • that means shit all. they just have good advertiser departments. when people buy computers for their company, they just go for whichever brand they've seen advertised and just put 100 in the quantity box
