3500X-2080S-240NVMe-NOV

Hi all,

Kicking off November with a similar spec to the popular bundle from October - a higher spec Ryzen 5 3500X with 2080 Super.

Spec: Ryzen 5 3500X | RTX 2080 Super 8GB | 16GB 2400MHz RAM (G.Skill) | B350 Motherboard (Biostar B45M2) | 240GB NVMe m.2 (Kingston or Crucial) | 750W Power Supply (likely Thermaltake 750W) | Thermaltake Versa H18
Price: $1499 after 3500X-2080S-240NVMe-NOV

A new upgrade option based on numerous requests and thanks to increased stock availability is the option to guarantee an MSI Ventus RTX 2080 Super for $39, over the bundled GPU whose model may vary but will likely be from Galax. This is in line with RRP.

Popular upgrades are the 16GB 3200MHz for $59 (has been Team TForce Vulcan of late), 750W Bronze PSU for $49 or Gold for $99, and lots of additional storage options are available.

I'm in the process of updating all customers who have purchased 3500X systems previously, as, having been due first week of November, they are arriving and systems are beginning to ship out this week. By the time these systems start to ship we should be right back close to estimated 7 business day shipping, but as always your patience and understanding is appreciated as we are entering peak season. Happy to provide updates for those needing them.

Please note also that I'll be on annual leave for a week starting Friday, but the team here will be manning OzB in my place and deals and support will continue to flow.

The coupon codes from the deals that expired yesterday are still valid temporarily, so if you're interested, best be quick. Highlighted deals::

  • Hi Luke, is it possible to get this deal or similar with a 3700x instead?

    • Will look into it. Will be running through various CPU/GPU combinations this month for sure.

  • With the expiry of Win 7 I'm looking for a new gaming rig. I've been out of the loop a while, would this be the one to get?

    • +1

It's a pretty oustanding spec and price. This deal is a little older so not attracting much in the way of new comments, but feel free to check out all our deals and others generally have input on questions like this.

      • Thank you for your reply. I had a look earlier and I really don't understand what I'm looking at anymore.

        • If you're upgrading from something several years old, this would be a fantastic upgrade. I'd probably recommend some extra storage but otherwise it's a great gaming rig.

  • Is it pretty simple to access the motherboard to install a wifi card?

    • +1

Yes, just remove the side panel. It does depend which GPU and motherboard combination you use as large GPUs may cover the PCI port. You may need to request specifics from [email protected] while I'm away.

  • What do you guys think about buying this PC, putting the RTX 2080 into my current PC then selling this PC with my old 1070? How much would the upgrade cost/How much would this PC sell for with a 1070 in it instead?

  • Can I clarify the warranty situation if I get the PC assembled but shipped with the GPU not installed?

I have read a couple of posts about the GPU getting bent etc in shipping - its a heavy and expensive part.

I am thinking the assembled PC, plus the GPU shipped preferably still sealed in retail box.

WHat would the warranty situation be?

    • +1

Hi mate, you can request the GPU to be shipped separately. We will still need to install it to test it, but we can then put it back in its original packaging to transit. We place protective pakscing under the GPU when installed for transit, but uninstalled removes the risk altogether. We can lrovide instructional vidoes or phoen supporr and unless the customer damages the card by mistreatment which wo uuld be obvious on inspection, there are no issues with warranty as we are aware of the arrangement.

      • Gotta say Luke, you're offering some pretty fantastic service.
Looking forward to seeing what other CPU/GPU combo's you come out with this month. I'm waiting for a build with a good CPU (3700X or 9700K or better) paired with a 2080 Super and then I can finally put my tired old gaming PC out to pasture.

  • Hey Luke, thinking of getting this rig but I was wondering if you’d be releasing any combinations with the Ryzen 7 models? Thanks!

  • Had to cancel my order :( unexpected medical stuff

Hoping for a similar deal next year

  • Will this still come with COD code?

  • Just got a tracking code for my order, which was placed on the 11th - 10 business days. Now more waiting :P

    • Thanks for your update. Ordered on the 12th and waiting for tracking.

    • Picked up my order this morning, after attempted delivery yesterday. Everything seems good so far, just downloading windows updates.
