Sadly this isn't the music version.

Holding out from this (and the Forerunner 735XT) for a Garmin at this price point with Spotify capability.

All I want is to be able to run to music with just the watch and headphones while tracking GPS.

Bummer! Def want the music version

    • yeah - still rocking the original vivo active HR - going well (after two warranty replacements anyway…) and this offers nothing I want really (other than looking nicer) than my current watch.

Don't take the Vivoactive HR swimming, they seem to lose waterproofing around the screen after a couple of years if my 2 dead ones are anything to go on.

        • Mine too

        • Seems to be a common thing on this model as i had exactly the same issue- But at least it prompted me to upgrade to a newer one!

  • nvm :)

  • great price, might have to compare to the newer Vivoactive 4 to see how comparable they are.

  • Would this be a good tracker for strength and weightlifting at the gym?

    • In my experience no. They do have some functionality around weight training and tracking but it is a bit shit. It is supposed to detect each rep based on the accelerometers but doesn't work very well. Not 100% this model has it, but in the ones they do it's rubbish.

It is also a bit annoying to enter workouts.

It does allow you to track an activity in the gym but it'll just be a timer plus HR tracking.

      So probably not.

    • I’ve watched a few YouTube reviews that have said its not 100% accurate but it’s one of the best wearables for gym activity.

But note I have not used it myself so the above comment is probably more correct.

Same price at Rebel Sports (including free delivery) for rose and black versions: https://www.rebelsport.com.au/p/garmin-vivoactive-3-watch-gu…

  • $219 amazon

    • Not from Australia

  • Thinking of moving to this from a Fitbit Versa. Love the look so much more, but wonder if I will miss anything?

    • Wonderful device. Apart from the better screen on the Versa I miss nothing.

  • Says deal expired, but they still seem to be on the JB Hi Fi webpage at that price and in stock.
