  • What would be a good item to get, anyone, that would classified as a very good deal?

  • Apocalypse Now on Bluray was released today, granted it won't be cheaper than Amazon. But not bad for $34 as opposed to $43.

    • +2

      its about $27 at sanity

  • +3

I've been to these before. classic shiftiness in Perth JBs.

Note they will also "hide" stuff they did have in stock the day before, for things they know will sell at the "dicscount" price.

    Buyer BEWARE!

know your prices, and bring your iphone/android, to check ebay/ozbargain as you stand there.

for me not worth the time and hassle!
    stick to ozbargain deals :)

  • Anyone know if JB HiFi sell the New iMac in the i7 version?

  • I just went to jb robina and bought a JVC kdr926bt for $244.30 normally $349 so 30% off. Salesman wasn't phased on doing the price now coz the prices were already in the system!! So go nuts now before the rush and while there is still stock of stuff ;)

    • Actually had to go to another store to pick it up (had no stock) and it was $399 there, so i got better than 30% yeww

  • It doesn't mention printers. Do I assume its under 15% off computers?

  • if anyone sees a good laptop deal, please report in! will be at work til 8, and will rush over as soon as i'm done!

Just bought a NIKON D7000 with 18-105mm VR kit for $1350

Seems good value considering the D7000 is sometimes compared against the CANON 7D @ $1860 body only

    • did you get extended warranty for it? if so, how much?

      • why do you need an extended warranty for nikon body?

      • funny story i actually got the D7000 kit for $1350
then went back and got 2 years extra warranty for $100 and a UV filter for $25

    • wow~ D7000 is perfect~ as well as the price.

  • +1

20% off DVDs is pretty good, but local releases of anime are quite expensive compared to the USA. A recent box set I looked at (new release) is US$22 on Amazon and $55 at JB Hifi. That's under AU$30 for the delivered product versus $44 on a super special.

    • Is it a Madman anime? I find all their prices to be ridiculously high (anime or not).

  • I don't get it.
I can't get the discount now, but I can reserve items for when the sale starts.
    Go figure :P

    • +1

jb in the city (sydney) are doing the discounts now. theyre like yea watever ill just do it now for you

      • +2

        like OMG whateverrrr!

  • anyone find anything good to buy ?

  • the 15% come off Video Cameras or just Cameras?

  • +3

Meh, waste of time. 20% off DVD's is good, but not enough. For example - I just bought the 'Rango' triple pack (DVD, Blu-Ray, Digital Copy) from Amazon UK for about $19.50, and it's $40 from JB.

  • +2

Not very attractive. Should follow Harvey Norman example by discounting all product lines by 20%.

  • there bluray sale 2 for $20 and 2 for $30 + 20% off are the only good offers, considering you are paying $8-12 for these.

  • does the sale include online?

    • I was about to ask the same thing, I think prices were discounted online in the past.

  • Is this online too?

    • no it is just in store

  • Dang I was really hoping that Onkyo amps (like TX-NR579) would be too cheap to ignore…$924 less 20% brings it down to $739.20….Price beat anyone?

  • +1

I'm a big music fan and still buy albums on CD so this is great for me

  • +1

ff advent children $12.98 with a further 20% off
Daria official box set $48 with a further 20% off

    GREAT SUCCESS!

And for those playing at home, the version Australia gets has all the music replaced :\

  • Meh… you can get all of JBHIFI's stuff cheaper with free delivery online. If you're buying HIFI/Panel TVs, do your research online, the employees don't know jack about the product and sell via agenda.

just catched Sony MUTEKI 7600 7.2 sound system for $ 786. awesome bargain as i was told 900 would be the best they would go. thanks for the post. now I dont have any problems with JB

edit: original price was $ 986 and got 20% off that price. I went there couple of days ago the lowest they would go was 930 so i think its a good deal.

    • +2

lol muteki. waste of $786 on a crappy sound system.

      • +1

agreed! I was getting it for $700 at a Clive Anthony closing down sale but sanely changed my mind……

        • +1

I read so many people talking these "Muteki" systems up i went and had a listen out of curiosity . I thought it was typical Sony speaker rubbish . I was starting to think it was just me .

  • +3

JB HIFI = New Harvey Norman - Sales every other week with no real discounts.

  • So are portable hard drives 15% off?

  • +1

so is there any point going? haha

  • +1

I just got back from JB Myaree in WA and what a waste of time that was. I wanted to get a Sony TV and the prices there were the normal prices that you could get on any old day. NO thanks JB?!

  • +1

Hey Guys, Thought I post my receipts up so you can see what I and a mate got,

Have a look, prices were pretty reasonable markup for some items were seen on ONE movie.. "BraveHeart" at $34.95 and I could see some bit of a green price tag but it was mostly removed.. pretty sure worth around $15 ?

Have a look and let us know what you think ? :)

Also just thought I let you know the sales guy was telling me how spiderman was normally worth $80! I told him I'd seen it at $20 for a while lol.. but anyways.. the receipt is confusing as but pretty sure they put it through right?

    • Is that table in the photo from IKEA?

      • Yes.. and no it isn't 10% off, sorry mate!

        • +1

Thought so. Very unique Swedish grain.

    • +1

The person who owns the first receipt has good taste in movies. The second does not :).

      • Shaun of the Dead…

        • I think that has already been offset by the sheer amount of Fast and the Furious movies.

        • Nothing wrong with Shaun of the dead, as for the fast and the furious. Only reason why I bought those was because I have the 4th one on bluray so I bought 1,2,3 even though Im not a fan of the F&F movies. Also bought the Rocky movies which showed up on my mates receipt.

Im a fan of Simon Pegg's movies, if you dont like it thats your own opinion =)

        • I think he is saying that Shaun of the Dead is the only good movie on that receipt.

        • Yeah as I said on the post before, personally I think F&F movies suck but I got the 4th one as a gift. Might as well buy 1,2,3 while they are on special since its usually $34.95. Just because you think they are horrible movies doesn't mean everyone thinks they're bad.

A bargain is a bargain so stop trolling ^_^

      • Well I've got the first receipt and the second is my mates, go ask him about taste ! =)

        • I was kinda assuming that yours was the first. I'm guessing that the guy who posted above is your friend?

    • +5

      Is that keyboard from logitechshop?

      • Yep, $60~ from what I remember..

It says offers expired on 24th July. Bad luck

    • +5

Yeh clearly says 24th of July - not like they ran around and jacked the ticket price up on you mate.

    • +1

Are you sure you took the picture this Tuesday NOT last Tuesday, it clearly say expired on 24 July. :)

    • removed comment, already posted by someone else

Waiting to buy my DSLR finally paid off.
Picked up the Nikon D7000 with the 18-105 lens for 1348.95$ which is the cheapest I have seen! Have been following the prices for about a month now.
It was marked down to about 1575 already (online and in store) and I got 15% off that price. Went to the JB HiFi in South Road, but they did not have stock. So checked with Marion and picked up the last one about half an hour before they closed!
The shop in South Road mentioned that even if it was not in stock I could pay the discounted rate and get the camera transferred from another store.
    Happy!

    • I got the same kit in March this year. Paid $1500 all up including the camera body, kit lens, extended warranty (5 Years??), filter and a single bag. If you bargain you can usually get a pretty good price.

      • Wow!! Now that is a really cool price.

  • I didnt get much but some lucky bloke at my local jb found a mispriced Call of Juraz Cartel game in the 2 for $40 deal so walked out with $59 game for $16 !

    • +3

too bad the game isn't even worth $16

  • +1

picked up my Nikon D3100 twin lens package for $780. Just 3 bucks more than the previous post!

  • In Software (Games-DVDs-Music) no prices get changed…its 20% off the marked price… A few times these sales have been all day.. 2010's it went for a week. not always just at night.
