    Wow under 100 bucks 2x8gb.

Feels bad when I bought these for >$200 last year.

did u have to buy? it was because people like u they were able to gouge us for so long. just like the sydney housing market right now, STOP (profanity) BUYING.

        • Yeah, I was upgrading from my 6 year old build, had everything except for ram, that's when my old gpu and mobo decided to stop working so I pulled the trigger after it dropped from $232 to $208.

    • +3

And these are 3200mhz as well, rather than the usually 2400mhz.

Sweet bump for my i386! 4Mb ain't great.

    • I feel bad for your owner

Why would you need more than 640Kb anyway?

      • Adlib sound for Dune 2

  • I'm sorry if this is an obvious question but I'm looking at upgrading from 8Gb to 16Gb RAM (currently have TED48G2666C19BK 8GB DDR4 2666 CL 19-19-19-43 1.2v).

    Would these work with a Micro-Star International Co. Ltd. B450M PRO-M2 V2 (MS-7B84) (AM4) motherboard?

Thanks for any answer in advance.

    • +3

yep would work fine as long as you replace both sticks

      • +1

Thanks for that. I decided to upgrade to 16Gb yesterday but hadn't done any research then this came up.

Have purchased and looking forward to the upgrade.

  • Worth upgrading from 2400mhz? I've got an i7-8700 cpu

If you had a Ryzen, it would be a different story but Intel chips couldn't really give a toss about RAM speed.

You might get 1 or 2 extra frames per second in a game, and a few seconds off a video render.

      Not worth it, imo.

    • Definitely not. You can safely OC your ram to something like 2666mhx using xmp 2.0 in your bios but yeh no need to speed 95 bucks for such a minor improvement.

    • Not worth, probably nanoseconds faster, unless you're a superhuman you wouldn't feel the difference.

    • There is a big difference in fps you will get from 2400 to say 3600, just google it and you will see benchmarks, I think you get around 10-20 fps more which is a lot

  • Still got stock on the:
    G.Skill 16GB Ripjaws V (2X8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Gaming Desktop Memory RAM Kit

    • Now this one is also out of stock.

      • They now restocked. I got some. 9 available now.

      • That's weird, if you follow this link (the first one listed in the body of this deal) it says out of stock.
But if you click on the "Go to Deal" link it takes you to a listing where it is still in stock.

Sweet! Now to decide on Ryzen or Intel for my Plex server/HTPC/lounge gaming PC connected to 4K OLED…

  • Man, bought 3000 CL15s for $112 a month or so ago.. wish I'd waited

    Think I can mix 3000 corsair's with 3200 gskills?

    • +1

it is advisable to use RAM sticks by the same manufacturer, of the same size, and of the same frequency. Personally I wouldn't mix them up.

    • The 3000 C15 performs pretty much the same as 3200 C16. You havent really lost anything.

  • Currently have a 16GB G-skills Trident Z 3200 with RGB so can I add this one to it? How is the compatibility if they are different model even with the same speed?

I literally spent like $600 on two 16gb kits a year ago. This is torture.

    • i just bought 3600 hz a week ago for $200 +!

      • my flare x 3200 cl 14 were disgusting, like $330

    Since the post seems OOS

    • Thank you! I went to buy it when it had 1 left in stock but by the time I hit purchase it was out of stock.

      An extra $3 doesn't hurt :)

  • If i'm going to build a new ryzen powered gaming PC soon, what sort of ram should i be looking for?

    • How serious a PC is it? I would go the first listing (2x8gb 3200MHz) in the OP as a minimum, and maybe push it to 3600MHz if it is a serious build.

      • Mid range i guess. Tossing up between a 5700XT and 2060 Super GPU wise.

Yet to research RAM but not sure what the whole CL16/18 is all about.

    • Yeah this ram is a good option.

  • +1

I had a computer I brought with 8 gb of ram last year, doubling my ram for $50 is a good deal. I was then able to overclock then old ram to match the new.

  • +1

Everything bar the 1x16g stick is back in stock
