How long have you had yours for? I'm considering picking up another one just for the PS4, but the last one I had maybe 3 years ago ended up cracking in the headband after about 6 months. :(
I had mine for just over a year and it too snapped at the hinge above the right headphone, i was pissed but just taped it up and haven't had any other issues with it 3 years latet, I'm tempted to buy a backup at this price but if I had to replace it I would probably try and get a better set.
Yeah I taped mine up for a while too until upgrading to something better (at the time I was using them on my PC only). Grabbed another pair, too good a price to pass up!
I've had mine since I bought my PS4 in 2014 and they'll still in great shape.

It's gross whole family playing VR with those ear buds. Wax gets in all the grooves cleaned so many times.

Can they work wireless on PSVR? I don't think so.
No. I tried using Bluetooth headsets from PS3 and won't work with my PSVR V1.
They should but you have to plug them in to get positional audio
Try not to spread them too wide when you put them over the VR cause they might snap.
Dumb question, do these work with other devices ? I don’t own a Sony Play Station.

Wirelessly? No.
With 3.5mm audio cable? Yes.
iPhone without audio jack or lightning adaptor? No.

There's a myriad of no name Chinese brands on ebamazon with over-ear corded and bluetooth. I bought a pair for about $25 about 6 months ago.
(Not sure about a brand name like Sony)

I have the black ones and the inside of the earpieces has cracked up over about two years. Apparently this a common issue. You suddenly find bits of plastic stuck to your head after using them. That said, I agree they're good otherwise. At this price I'd almost grab a replacement pair.
Yeah my earpieces have started to do the same after about 5 years though. I paid about $80 and they've been good value. At this new low price they're great value!
Not too difficult to get replacement ear cups. Try ebay or Aliexpress. I think I replaced mine for all of $8 or something.
Would've grabbed this if I didn't already have the platinum headset.

Yep and yep. Playing deep rock galactic with some mates. Hook the wireless dongle up to the pc and install it (can Google how to).

Can anyone suggest good wireless alternatives to these? Have a black pair a few years old and the padding around the ears are starting to wear off.
The only true alternatives are Sony's higher tier PS4 headsets because no other headset provides virtual surround (unless you buy a device with virtual surround processing from toslink such as Mixamp)
How is this compare to the Gold or platinum

It work with my Sony Android TV, but only in stereo, and the mic does not work, google assistant seems can not hear anything I said

They don't sound good, and they are uncomfortable for me.

The hinge is made of plastic and prone to snap. I'm aware of this issue and treat them fairly carefully so mine are ok. As others have said, just use duct tape to fix.
They are also uncomfortable after long use. They don't work with VR unless you plug them in directly via 3.5mm.
For this price, it's a good deal.

I feel really daft but I can't quite work out the difference between these and the "Gold" headset. I get the Platinum one is quite a bit different and more expensive, but this and the Gold ones seem to be pretty similar? And there seems to be both an original Gold, and a new 2018 Gold?
(I wish Sony just stuck to a consistent naming convention!)
I have these and i must say for this price theyre a bloody bargain. SQ is acceptable and i personally find footstep direction pretty good. If i didnt have one already I'd be all over this.
