  • does this work for existing users?

    • Looks like it.

  • This or boost?

    • Boost gives you 80gb. This is only 36gb.

      • umm 36 + 64 = 100gb

        • +3

          Yeah but why dont they just GIVE you 100gb instead of this 3 x 12 + 64gb nonsense.

          Sounds like they're making things complicated for not much good.

          Also Telstra > Vodafone for coverage.

          • @tonyjzx: Hmm are they saying the 3GB per month doesn't roll over? Like say you didn't use any data for the first 11 months, will you still have 100gb in the 12 month or just 67gb?

            • +3

              @CVonC: at the end of the day i dont think it matters…

              most of us here will piss thru 3gb a month anyway and if you lose it, so what?

              However like many i dont care too much for lebara and i feel as yet, we still havent gotten better than the 80gb boost telstra $135 deal…

              • @tonyjzx: Pretty sure 100gb for $135 is better than 80gb for $135.

        • Sorry I may have got it wrong. My impression was that data banking came from the data that you don't use every month. It is not clear if 64gb is available from the start as a bonus. If it is, I apologize for my incorrect statement.

          On another note, there are 365 days in a year. 366 days in a leap year. Not sure why 360 days was chosen.

          • @lomie: Their "months" are every 30 days.

  • +4

    naah…done with Lebara…looking to move on…

  • so if I have another plan not expired and is a different plan to this, and I add this plan to my account now, what would happen?

    • +2

      From their site:

      Lebara Mobile’s Long Term Plans are programmed to be stacked. Meaning, you can recharge with a long term plan and it would stack to your existing 30 day or long term plan. The Long term plan would start only once your current plan expires. You can stack Lebara plans up to 24 months.

    Boost/Telstra unfortunately doesn't work at my place. Vodafone/Lebara is better and have found Optus/MVNO to be the best. Its worth trying a couple of SIM cards to see which stands up the best. Telstra network was Emergency Calls only, for most of the time. Had 2 years with Lebara and no complaints to be honest.

    • +1

      Yep I switched from Kogan to Boost so Voda to Telstra and I have signal troubles all the time with Telstra where I didn't with Voda :(

      • +1

        I found this too.

  • Can someone please clarify whether those 64GB are in a bank to be used after the monthly 3gb has been used up? This is so unnecessarily complicated. Damn marketing fools.

  • Can't see this plan on Lebara website. https://www.lebara.com.au/mobile-plans/long-term-plans/
    Kind of weird.
    Is this deal legit?

    • They used to have XS 3GB per month. The 64GB (360 days) data banking is kind of new, probably to compete with Boost.

      • How do you know that you will be getting this extra 64GB? You just have to rely on eBay seller. Doesn't give much confidence, considering that there is not a single word about this offer on Lebara site itself.

          Actually he replied back on ebay with the voucher code.

            @habib23q: Thanks 👍

            • +1

              @justhooked: your welcome

              • @habib23q: Have you established whether the 64GB is an upfront bonus?

                • +1

                  @0jay: sorry no i haven't. This was for my missus and she finally recharged and the only thing i saw come up was that it's a extra small 360 plan. Me personally I'll stick to Boost. This whole lebara data bank seems overly confusing.

                  • +1

                    @habib23q: It is pretty confusing.

                  • @habib23q: What plan did you pick when activating? There is no plan like XS 365 days.
                    It does accept the voucher (shows up as $152), I choose Extra Small - $14.90, but during the next step it asks to pay $14.90 with a credit card.
                    Got this for my in-laws and starting to regret already.

                    • @uk3000: Also clearly, $14.90 * 12 = $178.8, not $152.

                    • +2

                      @uk3000: activate your sim and recharge using voucher code. simple.

                      • @leeteam: Not sure what went wrong with my activation workflow but I turned to Lebara Chat and they sorted it out.
                        Can confirm the data balance as of now is 65536.00 MB.

                    • +1

                      @uk3000: There was no option to pick any plans. It also came up as the $152 voucher but just renewed her current $14.90 plan which she had just recharged a few days ago. It added 12 months to her expiry date to end sometime mid December 2020. It was listed as extra small plan like i said with no option to select anything else.
