[Pre Order] Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Video Switcher/Streamer $426 + Delivery @ New Media

120

This is a pretty niche deal, but looks good if you're after one of these!

It's a low-cost mini video switcher that has both HDMI and USB-C output. When plugged in to your computer, it'll appear as a 1080p webcam so you can use your favourite streaming or video conferencing software.

You can plug in four 1080p HDMI devices and switch/transition between them. Each input has frame rate and format converters so you don't have to worry about matching frame rates and resolutions.

It also comes with BMD's Fairlight audio mixer built in which gives you EQ and dynamics control for each input.

ETA is some time this month. Shipping is $18.35.

Nice price for a very versatile product, particularly the built-in up/down scalers.

Yes! I remember just a generation or so ago, their ATEM Production Studio 4K switchers didn't have any converters at all. It was a pain having to bring everything down to the lowest res/frame rate device you have.

Positively heartwarming to see an Australian company leading the field in its industry!

I had no idea about that until now. In that case, I wish Rode would team up and merge this unit (+multiview) with the Rodecaster Pro to make the ultimate device :)

And have ATOMOS add a colour accurate display for Live previewing of the video feeds on deck. Ultimate Aussie device!

Considering Blackmagic just released an updated Video Assist monitor, tell 'im ee's dreamin'…!

  • Pity Mini stock is scarce, everyone seems to have it on backorder and excluded from Black Friday deals.

    • Yeah, I wonder what the hold up is. Getting 10-15% off would be fantastic.

      • I held off, hoping we'd get an unbelievable deal with this weekend's sales. New Media still seems to have the best price, though it reverted to $435 - kicking myself I didn't grab one at $426.

I'm a little surprised Roland didn't drop their V1-HD pricing in response to the Mini.

        • Yeah, even their V-02HD is way more expensive than this! They've definitely lost some sales to BM.

Best price I've found so far is from The Streaming Guys at $435 with free delivery - now hopefully it arrives in time for Christmas :)

    • It should, stock has landed. I got one from VideoPro last week. Haven't had time to set it up yet though.

      • Great service from The Streaming Guys, it was delivered this morning. Had a quick play, it's a neat little unit.
