Just got this in an email from Industrie… seems like a pretty good deal considering I paid full price for one of these hoodies not 2 weeks ago! Good for those that have been waiting, and the $29 hoodies are good for bumming around. This sale is 40 minutes old as of posting, so get in quick before all the good sizes are gone!

      Because I've seen people be ripped into and being negged for posting stuff which some people view as useless or not a bargain. If that's going to be the case, then I wanted to point out to people that it's my first post and to go easy lol :)

        Fair enough too. I experienced the same, and I'll never post an "OzBargain" again.
        Many are posted as one user to another. We have ZERO to gain from our efforts.
        Getting negged-hard & abused is enough to make many never return again.
        All over a few bucks sometimes. OzBargainers can be a brutal mob AT TIMES.

    Oh, and anyone wondering about the quality of Industrie clothing. I have 3 jackets and 7 shirts and are all still kicking on very well 2 to 5 years later.

      For the most part, Industrie garments are very well thought out and ruggedly constructed. There are some exceptions due to their rapid expansion (I've wondered if some of the recent pieces are just rebranded from China).

      I'm fond of Bonds, and their designs, but they are no where near as rugged or exploratory as Industrie.

    No offense but I guess you guys so excited about these for the sake of the brand name, the ones on sale look so bland and ordinary so I really can't see why these are special except for the brand sake..

      Completely agree. They're just very, very plain looking - not like the old Industrie products. If some kid slaved away in a factory to make me a hoodie - it's gotta look good otherwise I'll feel guilty wearing it

      I own one and the quality is noticeable compared to cheaper hoodies. The look, feel, the way it fits and seeing it in person u can tell its a quality brand.

      Sometimes you don't need a lot of colours or patterns for something to look good. Sometimes a bit of quality and a good cut is all it takes.
      The thing about Industrie is their clothes are well made and well cut.
      I dunno about you buy I'd rather pay $30 for something that will last me 4 or 5 years than $10 that will only last 1 or 2. It actually ends up being cheaper to look better.
      Just my 2cents.

    I kinda agree, Industrie has gone downhill in the last few years. They have always had a poor quality, and they want people to think they have improved by only being sold in David Jones and their own stores, but really its quite average and alot of their designs are tacky. These hoodies are quite bland, and I would rather buy a cheaper one or Bonds.

    That said, Industrie is a CUB brand. The quality is rubbish and the real cost of making one of these hoodies is probably a couple of dollars.

      Not everything costs "a couple of dollars" to reach the end-user. There are plenty of real costs involved. Fashion clothing has high markups, so 50% discounts still make them plenty of money & make them a REAL price for us… but that's NOTHING compared to so-many other industries (no pun intended).

      Bearings, Bolts… I get minimum 80% off, on a perm. basis.

      Ever seen the markup on toys, stuffed toys… Hell, any basic item from China?

      Landed Cost: $5
      Markup: 1000%
      RRP: $55
      Promotion: 60% Off!!1!OMG!
      Sale Price: $22
      Profit: $17 (340%)

      And that's the way the world is. Doesn't really matter what it really cost someone-else. Know what options are available to you, and make purchases based on that. I can't buy it for $5, so there's no point getting worked-up.

      Ordered mine on the 31/7, and it still says Received/Processing.
      I don't mind waiting a while, I just hope they don't finally get back to me saying "Sorry, that size is unavailable" or something.
      Also, I can't seem to find an email or way to contact them?

      EDIT: Just found this under their FAQ section:
      "Our goal is to despatch your online order within 7-14 working days. In the unfortunate circumstance where an item is sold out, we will advise you promptly so you can consider an alternative item."

      I'd hate to wait all that time to then be advised my order is sold out…

          I'm not on FB. I just replied to the email address of the order and they then replied saying they were still waiting for one item to arrive then will send out my order. They charged my credit card the day I ordered tho.
