Your warranty is with the retailer; this should always be your first port of call. If you have issues, they need to resolve this with the manufacturer.
Both. Statutory warranty is with retailer, but TCL also has a 3-year explicit warranty. Which may or may not be worth anything.
Retailers will try to send you to the manufacturer, and may refuse to help after 12 months. So then you argue and threaten ACCC …

I bought TCL because it was cheap, and hoping better than the no-names. Yes I am aware it is big in China, but they do not have the same respect as Lenovo or even Huawei.
Pretty happy with mine, got it in the last non-price error deal for $920 after the $100 Cashback promo which has now ended.
Runs Android TV which is great, fast boot up as long as it's not completely powered down from the powerpoint, this first initial boot takes a few minutes as it has to boot into Android.

Yes, I bought a 75P8M in July and it's OS Software has updated on-line.
I'm still salty about the previous price error
