      • Sweet thanks!

  • Anyone else having issues with subscription sign up through app on an iOS device?

    • +1

me, when i select either month or year subscription it comes up with an error that there was an error processing your payment.

      • +2

I hard reset my iOS device and went back in and it worked :)

        • That's very Last resort :/

        • I hard reset my iOS device and went back in and it worked

Thanks so much, Owgasm. I got the same error and it was making me mad all afternoon

    • I had no issues on an Apple TV

  • I haven't bought iTunes gift cards in store for ages - are they physical items that can run out of stock? Or can the POS just print as many vouchers as needed?

    • They're physical cards. Some 3rd party online sellers sometimes sell digital codes, but those are transcribed from physical cards as well.

  • I do not believe you paying using itunes for disney plus. anyone having the same problem?

    • +2

You sure can. Disney+ subscription is just like any other app subscription.

    • +1

Worked for me, even received an Apple iTunes receipt regarding the subscription ($0 first as there is a 7 day free trial). It should take the credit from iTunes once the free trial is over and auto renews.

    • It may be your dns settings, I use getflix to access Hulu etc and when I went to subscribe it pointed me to the website which only allows credit card and PayPal, I tried using another device on a network without any changes to the default dns and it asked me to subscribe within iTunes and would therefore use credit before your other payment method.

  • I have both iTunes credit and a credit card on file. Will a subscription through iTunes come off my iTunes credit first and not charged to my credit card?

    • +1

      Correct.

      • Great. Thanks.

      • is there any way of confirming this or just a given? I use Itunes billing for Netflix but set that up some time ago so cant remember if you needed to do anything special or its just automatic? I subbed for D+ via ipad and app so assume the same will happen.

        • +1

When you choose your subscription option it will take you through to confirm payment with Apple Pay, which will use any iTunes credit you have before any other payment method.

        • I can confirm as above. Subscribed to Disney+ via itunes. Received email confirmation from Apple that subscription would be funded through store credit. Obviously make sure you have sufficient credit to cover the cost of the subscription.

          • @unity1: Yep confirmed this via email I recieved. All good.

  • +1

I don't currently have an iOS device but I do have an Apple ID. Can I subscribe to Disney+ using iTunes on Windows or do I have to borrow someones iOS device?

  • How do I even download Disney+ via iTunes? When I downloaded it via the App Store and login to my account it takes me to the website to manage my subscriptions with credit card/paypal as the only option of payment.

    • What device are you using?

      • Ipad and iPhone. I think the problem is that I signed up for disney + on my pc. I think I have to cancel my subscription, wait for the 7 days to expire, then redo it all again on my ipad.

Anyone know if this is correct?

        • +1

Yep the PC sign up has locked you out of iTunes payment. You will need to sign up again with a different email and do it through the iPad or any other Apple device.

          • @ElectrkJonesy777: Righto. That sucks. Is it possible to wait out the 7 day free trial and then resubscribe through the app?

            • @laudern: You may have to create a new log on for Disney+ to take advantage of iTunes billing. I know some services in the past haven't allowed using iTunes after you've already used a different method initially but you can only test it after the trial.

              • @ElectrkJonesy777: just use a new email/account
if its gmail, just do something like name+disney@gmail, if its yahoo, go make an alias..etc etc all still ends up in your main email inbox

                • @SBOB: Yeah it does but if you have any profiles etc. set up you lose them, not that it’s a big deal if with the resume, watched tracking issues currently it probably makes almost no difference anyway.

  • Righto. That sucks. Is it possible to wait out the 7 day free trial and then resubscribe through the app?

    • If you cancel now i.e within the 7 days and re-subscribe through iTunes ( after 7 days) it should give you iTunes as a payment option like it does for others apps unless they have specifically blocked it like the poster said above

My card was charged but their system isnt activating the gift card. Wasted 20 mins at store and got a refund. Coles is shit, hope other stores would match price.

  • +1

Tried Canberra centre Coles this morning and they are having IT issues. Will try later today.

  • COLES GIFT CARD SYSTEM DOWN. BEWARE.

Was charged but cards wouldn’t activate.

  • Coles gift card system not working - NSW
    Charged and can’t activated

  • Tried at Coles Southland, Cheltenham VIC at 8am. As others are reporting, card activation system is down.

  • Officeworks Brisbane CBD have taken all theirs off the shelves due to "an issue".

I'm guessing the issue is that they would have to price beat Coles + 5% extra..

    • Generally Officeworks will have already marked their price down to be the same as Coles.

More likely they have been removed as the Coles Gift Card system is having issues as per the post above.

      • +1

Generally Officeworks will have already marked their price down to be the same as Coles.

Not according to people on the Whirlpool thread this morning.

But that's a good point about them having the same issue as Coles, I didn't think of that.

      • Wasnt the case as of 19 minutes ago. Got mine price matched at bundoora officeworks.

  • 1 out of the 3 activated for me. Looks like system is congested

  • +1

There is a global outage affecting many gift cards, it is not a specific issue with Coles' systems.

    • +1

Yes just spent 30 mins at my local Coles stuffing around with refunds on these cards as tried twice & they charge your CC but dont activate the card…

  • +2

Just got 2 x 50 cards at bundoora with the price match. $100 for $76. Bonus

    • Nicely done

  • +2

Just got 2 x100 cards price beat at Office Works Epping VIC. Person at the counter made a mistake and keyed in 25% off for the competitor before the system applied the price beat.

So I ended up with 28.75% off

    • Nice one — I'm surprised Officeworks online hasn't matched Coles' pricing yet. Must be something playing up with their systems…

    • Excellent deal.

I did price beat with OW over the phone. Mention the catalog https://www.coles.com.au/catalogues-and-specials/view-all-av…

    • just did this too thanks heaps for the info!

    • What happens when you price beat OW over the phone?

You still need to head to your nearest OW right? Or can you purchase online with code?

      • +1

You can have it delivered or go to your nearest store to pick up. Your choice.

        • Thank you! Just ordered.:)

    • Just called OW Nerang and they said they couldn’t do purchases over the phone.

      • +2

Don't call the store direct. Use the main officeworks 1300 number

        • Thanks. Yeah that worked.

    • Just did the same over the phone. Thanks for the info!
I was able to place an order for pick up at the nearest OW store.

    • Did the same, thanks!

  • +2

If anyone is in Melb CBD - Officeworks on Bourke st has heaps of cards and price match + 5% on Coles. It was all activated and no issues straight away.

    • +1

      Thanks!!

Went this arvo and managed to price beat 2 x $50 iTunes cards at Bourke St Officeworks today, total price $76. Added to iTunes and subbed to Disney Plus. Brilliant!

  • +1

I called the officeworks 1300 number and was told that since Coles offer is not available online, i need to go to a store and claim the pricebeat, if the local Coles stores has the cards available. Alternatively, if i knew someone who had claimed the offer online and can provide the order number, officeworks can then look into the order and give me that offer??

    • +2

They don't know what they're talking about.
Hang up and ring back, you'll get someone that will do it.
Make sure you tell them it's on page 31 of the catalogue

      • Thank you! Just ordered and mentioned page 31 Lol.

Easy, done in couple of minutes.

Rep who answered already knew it was for the iTunes when I mentioned Price beat.

  • Anyone able to activate the one from Coles?

    • Just bought / activated 3 cards at Coles in Warnbro, no issues.

      • I gotta go back later after work to try and get them to activate them. I’ll let you know if you haven’t by around 6pm

    • Ended up activating and working fine for me from Coles

  • just got 2 X $100 for $152 = ($76 each) Officework 24%
they only price beat 5% off the $80 price

  • Thanks, call with OW went smmoothly. Limit of 3 cards. Now have to collect.

  • Just got price matched at OW in Wagga Wagga

  • Managed to get Officeworks (North Sydney Store) to price beat this. $76 for the $100 gift card.

    • Got two more without any problems.

  • Grr neither JB Hifi nor Big W will match.

    • +1

See if you can price beat at officeworks. Like posters above, I've just called their 1300 number and they price beat it for me. Ended up paying $68.4 for $90 worth of cards ($30 x 3). They can also deliver if you have no OW near you.

  • Hi, do I need to get some screenshots for the 20% itunes card for OW to price match ?

  • +1

Got $500 for $380 at Officeworks Gabba

  • +1

Price matched at Officeworks over the phone. Sure was a process but got there in the end! Thanks OP!

  • Anyone having activation issues at Coles currently? Hoping it's fixed so I can grab some on the way home (Officeworks too far out of the way for a couple of bucks)

  • Price matched at my local OW this afternoon, there were plenty in store. They checked the Coles catalogue on the spot and I got $100 for $76. Activated without any issues. Great deal.

    • Same, just price matched moments ago. I thought they would have adjusted their prices by now.

  • +1

So proud. My daughter went to OW and got an extra 5% off. Such irony

  • Went to Coles and grabbed 3 x $30 gift cards for Disney Plus yearly sub and charged my credit card, but declined authorisation on the iTunes card. They told me it was an IT issue and refunded me in cash so went to Officeworks who price matched then beat by 5%, which they don't normally do. Stoked!

    • Your OW normally don’t price-beat or on iTunes cards you mean?

      • I could've sworn that in the past it was policy that they'd only match gift cards, not price beat. Looking at the T&Cs, doesn't appear to be the case though. Anyways, still happy

        • +2

I actually had issues for the first time in years today with OW even matching the price even though the same store did it last 20% off sale. They tried telling me they normally don’t match % off discounts, only price amounts….I was like WTF?!?

Got there in the end but it was a struggle!

  • +1

Tried Officeworks on phone (the 1300 number), told I have to go in store to do it.

Price beat upto 5 cards at Officeworks Doncaster. However, they were very reluctant (trying to say they don't price match gift cards) and kept me waiting a long time (10 minutes) till the manager - after much discussion - came and did it.

Also price beat at Officeworks Box Hill South. This was a much quicker and easier process, like it should be.

  • +2

Called the 1300 number this morning, purchased $300 worth, no issues. Delivered free of charge as well. 24% off :-)

I spend about $700 annually through iTunes these days…
    - Netflix
    - Cloud storage
    - Disney+
    - Apple Music
    - iTunes rentals

Who said Apple was a hardware company… 🙄

    • Thank you! Saw your comment and just got $300 worth via the 1300 number also. Pickup in store in couple of hours =)

  • Price beat at local Officeworks in North Sydney.

$500 worth of cards for $380.

    Can’t beat that.

  • Can I confirm that I can use such gift cards for iCloud subscription?

    Thanks!

    • +1

Yes you can. The iCloud storage subscription is tied to your AppleID and any subscription tied to your AppleID, the credit on the account is billed before any card on your account. If that makes sense?

      • Awesome stuff!

  • Excellent unit!!

  • Was able to price beat at Officeworks Punchbowl.

  • Can I still use iTunes to pay for Netflix? Or is that just for existing customers already using iTunes to pay?
