It doesn't have a tv tuner but if you connected a set top box you could use it as a television.
Add a set top box, and you'd have an IPS TV!

Awesome screen, have been using it as my main monitor for almost 2 years now.
I've been waiting for years to upgrade from my Dell 30. I just love 16 X 10 aspect ratio.
This 4k will do I suppose.
that's how I feel.. all the 43 inch panels have compromises.. at least this is pretty cheap.
what sort of compromises?

My philips and ps4 pro refuse to do 4k together
Have phillips 43 which i use with ps4 pro. Get picture ok, but how do I tell if in 4k?
Also thanks op , purchased the lg as wanted something with remote , speakers and better pip. Happy with picture on phillips though.What model philips? No joy on mine. There are forum threads suggesting the monitor needs HDR to have the ps4pro accept it as 4k.

Paid about $850 18 months ago from Computer Alliance.
Mine has terrible banding issues though.
It only occurs when a bright white window is displayed over a darker background.
The result is a white band appearing over the darker background.Contacted LG support and they were terrible.
After sending photos and videos to them, they deem it is acceptable and within operating limits.They want charge me to have it looked at and fixed (still within warranty).
Dell all the way….for monitors. Their service is impeccable.
At least lg is Australia (profanity) Optus(rip) Indians give literallly zero (profanity) about if you have your device for 1 week 1 day or 1 month, they just give you a second hand device and refuse to give you a new device. When try to use consumer laws, they tell you wrong information to deceive you into believe that you are 100% wrong and you should shut the hell up and take the refurb.

I can't stress enough how massive this thing is. Be prepared.
I basically only look at the bottom half of the screen lol.
I purchased a 43 Philips a couple of years ago and I took it back because it caused massive eye strain.. too much light in the eyes.. will see how this goes..
Well… ive set it up and played with it all afternoon… its an excellent panel… it has exceeded my expectations in every way… and is oodles better then the old philips 43 i owned for a short while… its super crisp and i dont even notice the ips glow…
If your on the fence… get it.

My tv’s only 40 inch and HD
