Do these sentences sound odd or am I having a stroke?

    • +1

Nah, I got an aneurysm just reading that.

    • It sounds odd because it is BS.

Where is the evidence that blue light is harmful to your eyes?
UV, sure, but that is not what is being claimed here.

It is false and misleading advertising, which is clearly illegal.

The blue light will affect your sleep, so if you put the glasses that can block blue light, it will help you get more high quality rem sleep.

Of course you don't need these glasses if you could replace all the light bulbs to up-to-date ones, then you could turn then into no-blue-light-mode, just like iphone/mac do nowadays

The blue light will affect your sleep

Probably not, at least, not in the quantities that you would be encountering. Normal daily use will produce nothing like the blue light that's needed to disrupt sleep.

          • @blitz: For those that have sleep problems, it may one of the factors and be more helpful for their lives.

Blue light (compared to other colours in the spectrum) is said to be more effective in hindering the production of sleep hormones which the body usually starts producing at night. This is said affects the function of sleep (may be in quantity, quality or both).

Not sure what it can offer in the day time though.

@hououin kyouma: The biggest cause of poor sleep and feeling tired when you wake up is not going to bed early enough because you're on your phone looking at dank memes. Stimulating your brain before bedtime by checking social media updates, watching videos and texting friends stops your brain from preparing for sleep. Blue light has nothing to do with it.

              • +1

@blitz: I do agree with you that mental stimulation is also a factor. Though I do stress that blue light doesn't exclusively come from the phone, anything that emits visible light can emit blue light. My view is that every little bit of melatonin helps, and these products may have a use not just for compulsive phone users.

Though I do enjoy dem dank memes.

      It's just an advertising spammer.

OzBargain had grown a lot in popularity, it has become quite a well know site, and with this comes people who seek to advertise products with a ridiculous markup they bought from AliExpress etc.

  • +6

Negging due to there being no bargain here only advertising spam with ridiculous claims and price markup!

This is more expensive than the everyday normal prices at eBay, AliExpress, DHgate, Wish etc.
$4.72 delivered, don't forgot Shopback to reduce the price down to $4.67!

I found the these prices on eBay by searching for "Semi rimless Blue Light Glasses", took less than 2 minutes!!
You could no doubt find a cheaper price than I did by searching AliExpress, DHgate, Wish or any of the other Chinese sites!

99.99% of all these reps and associates posting "deals" aren't deals aren't at all, the products are all ridiculously overpriced and if you really, really want to buy from a seller with stock in Australia just buy from eBay, take this seller for example his/her stock is in Australia and is selling their product for $3.99 compare that to ops price of $16.99!!!

Drop shipping is out. The new way is buying from AliExpress, Alibaba, DHgate etc. The products then arrive in Australia, and they are then advertised for a ridiculous markup on Ozbargain as “specials!”
