Whats the normal price? They have took the page down, but the google cached page (snapshot of 12/11) has $149 on it

Never been sold before, and wont be sold after I think. How most promotional items work.

      • +3

3 Years???? Did you see the chart on price hipster? It was only picked up on 15th of Nov 2019

    • +3

I think he's right, never been sold before.

That said, pretty sure it's a generic brand shipped in bulk from China, but that shouldn't come as a surprise.
Did some digging, cosest equivalent I could see on the market already is this
      https://www.walmart.com/ip/RevoAce-3-Burner-Space-Saver-Gas-…
Is (on paper at least) a different brand so I'll let people draw their own conclusions. $120USD = $175AUD, 4/5 stars

Went into Bunnings during the week and stock had just arrived. They strategically ticketed it at $229.

  • +7

Destined to be used a few times then be put out as bulk rubbish :( Sadly wasteful.

    • +24

Not true at all, no need to put it out as bulk rubbish, if you leave it out in the rain it will rust and disintegrate into nothing after a few days

      • +3

        Or observe, a bike lock…

Brandman 3 Burner Hooded BBQ $149

    Donald Brandman ?

    • +4

      Meh…

    • Scomo Brandman - after it rusts completely away you can ask "where the bloody hell is it"?

    • +2

You didn't realise he was cremated? It was on one of these bad boys! The precise BBQ tempature? 99.94 degrees.

Yes I know your version had an extra N.
The one unit sold as shown on Price Hipster was to his estate.

      Too soon?

  • Anyone know if the sleeving units are good pricing, and photos?

    • -6

      and photos?

      Santa photos?

      • +8

        Please stop.

    • Anyone know if the sleeving units are good pricing, and photos?

If you want photos follow the instructions and search previous deals for comments on them.

Well you learn something new every day…

    Works 99.94% of the time

      Who does?

      • +8

You must be on a mission to increase your post count, as you're adding literally nothing of quality to this post :/

    • +1

Bloody un-australian to not like this post

  • Link shows $149 for me and in stock

    • -7

      Which is the normal price.

      • I'm lost… I thought $149 is the discounted price. So if $149 is the normal price, what's the discounted/deal price?

        • -3

It's the same price. There is zero saving.

  • Is it worth getting one of these to supplement a charcoal bbq to use when I'm lazy / cooking a small amount?

    • -6

      Not really.

    • I have this scenario. A Weber 3000 and a Weber Kettle drum for charcoal. Both are regularly used. Is it worth getting this one though? With BBQ's I have found you get what you pay for. This I would say is risky.

      • +2

If you have a limited budget get the pantera bbq from Aldi.
2 burner may still be laying around with clearance tag.
3 burner is in new catalogue.
It is Weber like. Being using mine for a year now.

        • Have you found the the pantera has same results as weber and this size can roast a chook etc.
What size would this be equivalent to in weber sizing? for 2/4 or family thanks

          • @gooner85: The 2 burner pantera is larger than Q1000 and smaller than Q2000.
The 3 burner pantera looks bigger but it’s the first time it’s being offered by Aldi.

Half is grill and other half is hot plate. Ideally I would like to get another hot plate when having people over.

        • How long ago were the 2 burner models on sale?

      • I have this scenario. A Weber 3000 and a Weber Kettle

I wouldn't be comparing a Weber to this piece of junk.

        • Definitely not!

My only point was I do have seperate BBQ's for charcoal vs. non-charcoal. And they both get used extensively so I support that concept.
Also, bushfires means fire-bans that include charcoal BBQ's. Something else worth mentioning…

    • yep, especially during fireban season (though id likely get something like a weber q over this for longevity/quality)

  • Now just need a deal on shrimp

    • +4

      No shrimp in Australian waters.

  • The page just takes me to https://www.bunnings.com.au/our-range ???
Can't even find the brand 'Brandman' on Bunnings. wth

    • -6

      It's a joke post.

  • any power tools?

  • +1

This or the free BBQ on the nature strip of almost every second house?

    • The one on the nature strip will save you time as the grill will already be seasoned…

  • Does this have a flat plate or grill?

  • But what’s the brand man?

    • +3

Boss: you have one our to name our new brand for a black Friday sale, we need them badged & shipped from China by this afternoon.
Marketer 1: Man i cant think of brand that fast.
Marketer 2: Damn all these new bunnings home brands man.
      Marketer 3: How about BrandMan?

  • Is it wise to associate yourself with Bunnings? That would go against their social media policies. And posting up their internal documents can't be too bright, dude.

    • Hey OP listen to this. Head office wont like that youre scanning internal documents for the general public.

      • or maybe it's intentional that Op posted this because the boss told him/her to?

        • +2

Highly doubtful, theres nothing to gain for the company from doing so.

          • +2

@Obkay: Free Marketing, seen by 6320 consumers & counting.

Bunnies head office should be giving him a free drone.

    • You assume that this isn't an endorsed marketing channel. Plenty of businesses do exactly this to give the customer the perception that they're getting an inside scoop on something.

      • Yes, I'm sure they'd definitely post under DealHunter6911, totally.

    • Everyone that works for Bunnings gets these. How are they every going to find the culprit in such a large company?

      • +4

Correct, but it may result in head office being more secretive with this kind of material in the future.

OP can easily convey the information on these materials without showing them directly, everyone benefits in that scenario and no rules are broken.

Edit: and as a side note, i work for bunnings and know that in the next couple weeks im gonna get quite a few delightful customers with these pictures on their phone grilling me on why we dont have any stock of these clearance items.

        • You'd get grilled on not having stock of normal items on a daily basis anyway. Whats the difference.

  • +3

Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na

    Brandman!

  • +5

Daily downvote limit reached on this deal alone. Thanks jv.

    • +3

I dont understand jv, is his main objective to just troll on a bargain site

      • +1

No bargains have been posted here.

  • I wonder if it is a grill or a plate

  • in 9 days???

im in bunnings arundel and they are on the shelf right now…

  • Is it me or is the Imgur link navigating to a picture of a girl in short shorts?

    • OP’s images have been removed, as has OP.

      • +1

OP’s images have been removed, as has OP.

The "Bunnings Undercover Local Larceny & Secret Honorary Intelligence Team" were quick to bring this to a close…

  • Called Bunnings, went to multiple branches, they said that these have been taken off the shelves and will not be available for Black Friday sales and they wouldn't give me a reason why?

Anyone have any ideas what's going on?, This deal wasted my time, I had to make calls and physically go to different Bunnings stores.

    • I got an email advertising it, and all my local stores now show as having stock on the website whereas yesterday only one store did.

  • +1

Just noticed the user who posted the deal, has deleted their account, what's going on?

    • +1

Probably got in trouble by the bosses.

    • 👻👻👻

  • Is there a typical price you would see a similar product sell for?

    • My local got stock in on Wednesday and had it ticketed at $229 on Wednesday. It's new stock so they just ticket it at that and hope they sell a single unit to a punter so they can claim $229 reduced down to $149.

  • +1

Isnt this battery value and a more known brand for $50 more plus an extra burner?
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/jumbuck-4-burner-hooded-portland…

  • Just bought it, rang up at $99 Newstead Qld

  • Priced at $99 as well at Altona
