Quoting (verbatim) from the OrangeIT site:

"Lenovo S10-3 Black (064756M) Netbook

Stock Code: [885600692592]

Show the previous posting in the last month, with date and time, for a Lenovo S10 Netbook from OrangeIT. Alternatively, apologise. I'm a newbi, not a moron!!

No need to get tetchie, I didn't insult you like you seem to think I did.

It's a bit hard to link the deleted ones, since they were deleted as duplicates.

There's one listed here right now for me, with my particular "list everything no matter how low the neg score" options on, on the 25th of July: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals?page=16

It links to http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/47951 as reason for the duplicate delete.

    "Dinner is 4% surcharger"

That equates to $7.88. As long as it's better than a Big Mac Meal it's pretty good value!

A better deal would be…buy this netbook and maccas dinner is on us for free!

    • Obviously you don't need to be literate to sell computers. There's a moral there somewhere…

keen price for sure, reviews show middle of the pack benchmarks, and good styling with non protruding battery, but here comes the rub;battery life for this 6 cell netbook is hours behind Toshiba and Asus as per this cnet review http://www.cnet.com.au/lenovo-ideapad-s10-3-339307194.htm

I posted this up a couple of days back and the mod couldn't wait to take it off saying it's a dupe. LOL

    • Maybe they dont like you, did you rub one the wrong way?

      • Yeah, you could be right.

  • old technology but still a good price

I bought one from them, ordered it online for pickup and got screwed around for several days of needing to chase it up and getting the run around 'call our online branch' 'call our haymarket store' etc etc

Ended up needing to threaten to lodge a complaint with fair trading over it, and they instantly 'found stock' for me to pick up, I get down there and they tell me they have had lots of stock for days… and they then try and over charge me for a ram upgrade that wont work on this particular model since it is VERY fussy with what ram modules it takes!

It's a brilliant deal for the price and I love it, but I'd never deal with Orange IT again so buyer be warned

Also google about the ram issues with this model (Lenovo S10-3 ram issues) if you buy it and intend to upgrade ram, you need to install the latest bios update from their site and then get a single rank DDR3 1333mhz module for it to work

    • Sounds like a bit of hassle just to do a seemingly simple RAM upgrade. Their service sounds like it stinks.

      • I bought one and I'm awaiting delivery. I'll post any 'interesting' developments……
