  • I got the email as well, the T/C page throws an error!

Can anyone pm me the name of the rep that sometimes assists in getting custom laptops listed during the sales.

    • +3

I'm interested in this too. The sale doesn't end until December 2nd though so I'll wait for Black Friday deals to see if they are better than this.

    • So they are willing to list stuff from their site if it's not listed already for example?

      • +1

yeah, you will see it every now and again and sometimes they even put the name of the person that made the request in the product title.

        • Yeah just saw one actually. Interesting. I see from their listings that they do this with extended warranty as well.

    • +1

Isn't the custom listings just for extended warranty?

      • +1

I asked them and they said software and warranty but not hardware.

    Any bargains?

  • Looks like the $920 GTX1050Ti G3 gaming laptops are out of stock. I suspect discontinued with newer GTX1600 range and 9th gen cpus

    • Correct. I ordered one at the last 20% off and they sent me an email saying they had run out of parts and were sending me a 9300/1650 instead.

  • +2

Ordered laptop during last 20% off and 5 weeks later still waiting.
Was told they are out of parts.

    • That's what worry me. Very hard to do the timing for overseas trip trs

      • If it helps, Dell only issue and date the invoice once they send the item. I bought a Dell laptop last sale more than 60 days out from leaving country, but fortunately received some 50 days out so still qualified for TRS.

However, not receiving the laptop before leaving will be an issue.

        • Sorry for asking just wondering with TRS once you claim GST and take it out of Australia you cant bring it back is that correct?

    • This is worrying me too. I wanted to give an XPS to the family for Christmas. Which model did you order 5 weeks ago?

      • Nothing fancy, gift for my father Inspiron 15 3585.
I see it went down $50 in a month so guess will cancel and reorder.

they don't sell the good stuff on ebay like the XPS 13 2-in-1 in 16GB, or OLED model XPS 15s.

    • Depends what you want it for

      • Gaming I guess. Thinking about upgrading from an old desktop (with GTX 1060) to a laptop

        • I would imagine the laptop is slightly less powerful or similar

  • Thanks OP, ordered a backpack

  • thanks op i am in need of a new backpack

  • does cashrewards work when used with these ebay codes?

  • Seems like the prices are no better than the normal site. Plus there's bonus Frequent Flyer points atm on Dell and Lenovo via Velocity

    • The prices can be up to 20% cheaper than on the website depending on what you're after, yet the product range is a lot more limited on Ebay. Btw If I buy a laptop for $1000+, velocity points would be the last thing I'd worry about.

      • I've been looking at a Vostro 15 i7 which last week on their website was $1079. On eBay, with 20% it's $1079. But the website has dropped to $998.
And with 8000 points as a bonus, yeah it's important to track them. I'm sure someone will find a bargain though (hence no neg)

        • Try special100 on the website as well. Should knock $100 off, and don't forget to try cashrewards as well which is 8%.
