This looks more like bait to get people buying that "ISIC card" for $25.

    • Ok, I admit it looks a bit like a promo for ISIC. I just wanted to emphasise that the ISIC card is required to visitors who may just give this page a quick glance.

    • Microsoft Office 2010, would be the best value even if the card did cost $25. Windows 7 Professional is $119 here for students at the moment, but does go down to $50 every once in a while

Nice deal if you want ultimate too, though I don't see the need.

  • Will the Windows 7 install work for a clean install and not a upgrade?

    • +1

If you do the ole install with no product key then re-install using your upgrade key trick it should.

      • tantryl is correct.

Remember that in almost all cases an upgrade license is legitimate (unless you build your own computer or install it on an Apple Mac computer)

Ahhh! The Good Old ISIC! Because when you get to Thailand as a 16 year old and you want to get a fake ID, ISIC is the only way to go!

Just make sure you don't already qualify for MSDNAA, in which case you should be able to get Windows for free along with probably Visio and Expression Studio. Office from memory won't be included in that. For those that don't know, MSDNAA is aimed at students in IT and Engineering degree and offers a bunch of free development applications for students who are likely to be doing development. Law, arts etc students generally won't have access.

MSDNAA was a lovely bonus while going through Uni a few years back.

    • Yep I've used it on 3 seperate occasions to get Win7 Pro twice, Visio '07, Visio '10 and ?Publisher?

Just note that if your school (Ie. Engineering) has been too lazy to organize it, the IT section will normally happily put the claim through for Engineers.
