    Lenovo G560 (0679ADM) i3-380M 15.5"
Website price says $449 which would make it $399 after $50 cash back.

    • yeah it's $449 on the site :S

as if no HDMI either =\

    • They just charge me $409 onsite and then I apply for cash back online which makes it $359. Buying online charge more.

  • ATD right, website showing $50 more than you are stating…. but even then still a good price!

MSY selling same Lenovo G560 (0679ADM) laptop for $499 AFTER cashback. http://www.msy.com.au/Parts/notebook.pdf

  • Anywhere in VIC have this for the same price? MSY & Centrecom are dearer.

    No HDMI?

    =[

  • For who look only on the price tag this would be a good deal. However my experience with Lenovo is horrible. I've bought 2 Lenovo ThinkEdge 15 laptops recently. $780 each after a good discount on coupon posted in OZBargain. Just after 2 months LCD screen showed a white area in a corner. Then Lenovo asked me to ship it to them which I did 3 months back. Then they came up with some strange issue that the LCD was damaged and asked me to pay $350. I haven't even installed anything on this laptop was just used few times for browsing. Never dropped was just sitting on the table. So I thought there was no way to damage the LCD. However later one of my mate who was an IT admin told me that there is no need to drop this particular model to break it's LCD. If you try to carry it in your hand holding it tight. That pressure is enough to damage it's screen. This model is so delicate and fragile. I ended up paying $350 few weeks back after spending hours on phone for many many days. I am still waiting to get the laptop delivered back to me. I learned my expensive lesson and next time would spend a little more to buy something like Dell. Still if your budget is so tight then this might still be a good deal. Dell models would not come for this low. If you buy make sure to keep it in one place all the time. Lenovo is not made for mobility is seems.

    • I can understand your loss of faith with Lenovo after the unfortunate incident. However, I would advise you to stay away from Dell laptops at all costs. To say they are nothing short of junks is an understatement. The quality standard of their desktops on the other hand is much better in comparison.

      • flip side is I bought an Edge 15 for $569 from officemax during their blowout

        i5 2.66, 4/500, BT, ATI Radeon 545 512Mb, Win7Pro blah blah

it is clearly by far one of the best laptops I've ever had… and this is from someone who also has an Elitebook and a Latitude

        • I bought 3 of these during the special as well. The spec is great but one DOA won't turn on and took OfficeMax 3 weeks to give em a refund. I hope the other 2 will last a bit longer.

As with Dell don't buy their entry level Inspiron too many problems. Their Vostro is ok and the Latitude lasts forever. We have some Latitude notebooks @ work more than 5 years old and still working.

  • Just called Hurstville store and they said $459 NOT $409 (for the G560 without HDMI). Does the OP have a receipt?

    • yes, I have the receipt. You have to say the full model number: Lenovo G560 (0679ADM). Not sure whether they increase the price already!

  • so is it confirmed no HDMI?

  • I hate lenovo because the keyboard is Screwed

They have Hardswapped the Fn and Ctrl keys, Its a big issue if you are used to typing and use Ctrl a lot.

I just HATE Lenovo for this as old IBM had software swap for keys
