Was looking for an activity to do with the kids that didn't involve watching tv and found this. Hopefully useful for ozbargainers who haven't been to the zoo in a while (like me).

 - This waives the $20 joining fee that new members would normally need to pay on top of the $99 annual fee for Zoo Friends membership. - Geez. Are they trying to run zoo membership like a gym now?

 - What’s the benefit joining this? - Cheers

 - We're going at Christmas, 2 adults and 2 kids. Seems almost worth getting the annual pass and 1 extra adult ticket even for the one visit given the discounts to food and gift shops. - And also cheap flat rate at the parking right next to it.

 - For 1 adult + 2 children, day pass is $81. Annual pass is $99 and includes entry to Dubbo Zoo. - Not just Dubbo, but Perth, Adelaide & the 3 in Melb.

 - Does this include Sydney Zoo ? - No, they're separate entities. If you're closer to Western Sydney, the Sydney Zoo membership is going to be quite good value comparatively. - Thanks

 - What about Melbourne zoo membership? - Provides reciprocal entry to Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth zoos
 - Yes it’s cheaper then Melbourne Zoo membership (even though you don’t pay for kids).
But I believe they ask for your licence to make sure you live outside Vic.

 - 1 adult and 2 kids is a bit slack should be the other way around - Agree. How does it make sense to them. Are they only expecting divorcees to come?

I don't get this deal
