    I wish I knew there was a discount code before 10am!

    I had the AirPods in my cart but they showed at full price so I didn't click on purchase. The original OzBargain post did not mention the code.

    Now for the 2pm palaver…will there be a new code and when/where is it published?

      Yes the codes were only revealed at 10am - by the time I copied it, edited the Ozbargain post and published it (against very heavy web traffic), the AirPods were well and truly sold out by then.

      It's best you click on the link provided and refresh close to 2pm to get the code straight away :)

        What if they are currently in my cart at $99 from the 10am post? I'm thinking of leaving and refreshing at 2pm? Or will I have to start again with the new code? I'm beginning to to think this is not worth all the hassle.
        The new codes required every new sale stops people from adding to cart and checking out when it's time?

    In June/July - last time they sold AirPods for $99 - the promo code was AIRPOD or something like that.

    This time around it looks like a more random code - which lends credence to it changing on every drop. But let’s see in 2 mins.

    Wow. Processed sale of Apple watch at 14:00:42 only to find out seller had none available.

    And low and behold, Ebay changed the quantity of Watches available from 100 to 50, one min before the sale. Textbook false advertising.

    Won't be renewing Ebay Plus. Time to add to my 86 Amazon transaction from the past six months…

      The original plan was for 100 units to be released at 10am, 2pm and 6pm. Unfortunately a mistake was made - all 300 units were pushed out at 10am, and the allocation was quickly sold out. We didn't want to let the 2pm and 6pm customers down, so an additional 50 units was pushed out at 2pm and going to be pushed out 6pm (unfortuantely we didn't have the stock for another 100 units to be pushed each hour). Really sorry to hear that you missed out, hope you understand the situation and that we or eBay did not try to hold back any quantity. Wishing everyone luck for 6pm

        Nonetheless, why was the ad still on the Ebay landing page advertising 100 units until 1.59pm if the reallocation had been divi'ed up after the 10am balls up?

          Yes I am associated with the seller (Allphones). After 10am we immediately contacted eBay to let them know what had happened, and they quickly updated the promo banners to 300 sold. Did you have a link to landing page where the 100 units was advertised so we can forward it on? Thank you

            @lyl: The landing page which showed "Apple Watch Series 3 - 100 units available" was in the first banner you'd see if clicking on the Black Friday promo on the Ebay home page - for me it resolve to; https://www.ebay.com.au/b/eBay-Plus-Offers-Deals/bn_71150781…

            As previous, it was showing 100 units up until a minute before the promo began, but is not something I thought to screengrab. The frantic F5 page refreshing clearly saw it updated to 50 units in the immediate lead-up to the deal going live.
