  • Is it android one?

      Yes I think so

        No, it's a pie.

        • To those quick fingers… all Tonyusq needed to do was click on link and the info was there. Much quicker than asking here for someone else to waste time. There is stuff that is hard to find and yes, that is ok to ask, but for this it is just laziness. So yes, it's a pie.

Joyce Mayne has these in their catalogue for $298 (using FREEDELIVERYONLINE code to get free shipping) as well. It might be a price match by OW.

They are price matching Harvey Norman. See https://www.harveynorman.com.au/nokia-6-2-64gb.html. Same price for both black and "Ice". Would be even cheaper if you have access to buying HN e-gift cards at 5% off.

  • Ooh SD processor - so possible GCam APK here.
Useless factoid on Android One - Miui 11/Android 10 is on many Xiaomi phones, our N5.1+ is still Android 9…

    • -3

      Exactly.

What I find hilarious is that all these paid off reviews after IFA I think it was proclaiming how great 7.2 and 6.2 are.

Fact is, Nokia can't compete and barely register a blip in many markets. Yet this and the 7.2 are pretty much the only phones in the last two years from any vendor, that DO NOT have fast charging in any form. For a large battery that's pathetic.

So-so cameras, very old processors - no wonder Nokia doesn't have much sales.

        What exactly are you comparing?

You do realise a lot of those Xiaomi phones stop updating the security patch after 2 years. That's why those are cheap. If you do compare the Android One products from Xiaomi, they are just as far behind.

The same wait time still applies for Xiaomi A2 which is still stuck on Android 9. I believe it's more to do with getting the Android One platform and how Google rolls out those updates, in that they need to move along in a uniform matter.

If updates and laggy performance in the UI and games are important to you, by all means go for Android One phones.

If stock Android was so critically important to so many people, would sales of the Pixel line and Nokia phones be that low? Two years are about what most people hold onto their phones for so big deal.

@adrianhughes1998: It's because cash is king. Duh. People just buy the cheapest stuff, but if you have any respectable job then you won't be able to bring in a phone like that as it will be barred. You need to get the security updates.

I definitely won't hire anyone with a cheapie Xiaomi, especially one that isn't on the Android One system. Let's cut the crap and get to the real facts.

            • @[Deactivated]: Lol I don't know how you made the swing from phones and specs and updates to jobs and hiring.

Just shows a certain level of arrogance and naivety on your part mate.

@adrianhughes1998: I know your agenda. You just want to hide the posts that don't side with your personal opinions. But that's all they are.

Look, mate you get audited; so you can't just hire anyone. If you are so dead stuck on bring the wrong phone to the job, then it's clear you wouldn't be suited for it.

If you look at the facts, you would realise what I wrote is correct. It's irreputable.

Nice downvotes by the way, but you can't hide the comments from those who are actually logged in. I showed respect by not downvoting, but you threw the hammer, and it was returned.

You aren't even comparing apples with apples.

                • @[Deactivated]: Hide the posts? It's ozbargain that renders the comments scores below thresholds not me. Do the same one day and you'll find it's automatic.

Well you are insinuating that a respectable job is one that's audited for the type of work phone you bring to it. You aren't acutely aware of the fact that there are many many jobs in the workforce that don't require such phone policies.

Jesus Christ guys lighten off, all I was doing was posting a deal which as an ordinary person thought was a good deal.

    • Ignoring him, I just upvoted him to show how useless he is.

It's great deal, but he is just ignoring the facts.

      • Ooooh I feel so shamed by your upvoting. Grow up mate.

  • Thanks for post. With black Friday our tight budget is$300 and this Nokia 6.2 was on short list as was the 6.1 and Nokia 8.

Needs are camera, ease of use for email and social media and ozbargain updates and of course phone.

My Nokia 8 windows is down to phone and email with facebook locked out and closes down to reset if web is used. Phone on redirect if I cant open phone.

Can anyone suggest the best choice thanks
