Is this for new customers only, or for everyone?

  • Does this include HD?

I clicked the link and discovered that it does include HD.

Pay to watch ads … is this a joke?

    • Whole different model. I have all the streaming services but still love just turning the tv on and flicking through channels on Fox.

  • I'll get back on the wagon , kayo HD is $35 wife loves all those housewives shows , great to highlight what I can't provide

  • I signed up about 8 months ago and I haven't been overly impressed by it.

At the time we wanted 4k streaming of at least sports (not much of any of it), football, GOT, and for myself the motogp and v8 supercars. Because of this, we ended up with the premium pack @$89/m because they don't allow you to purchase a base pack plus individual channels.

Other than the 4k channel (not 2 of), the service isn't too different to kayo if you have a decent connection. We're on adsl 2+ and stream the on demand stuff without any dramas, it would only be an issue if you had other people on the network in your house at the same time clogging up bandwidth.

My wife and sisters were the only one that's wanted to watch game of thrones and had we got our time again she easily could have waited the day or whatever it was to watch/stream it later or even the day of release if you're that way inclined.

As for the sport content, the only 4k stuff I got to see was either F1, cricket or some crummy doco or 4k demo, all of which are useless to me.

It's marginally better today given they've got a dedicated 4k movie channel but still not nearly enough for me to retain my subscription.

I'll be heading over to kayo + a streaming service or 2 when my subscription expires. The beauty of this is that it also allows you to share your login across family members and stream anywhere, any time, not just in your home and for near on the same money with far less ads. On demand for box customers is close but it only let's you play a series, movies or live TV, no recordings.

    Bye bye Foxtel! 👋
