Why get this instead of local $49 version is beacuse this the USA version at 4K

HOWERVER THINGS TO NOTE

1) AUS apps do not come on device but can be side loaded on , apparently

2) If like me you getting this as a cheaper Apple TV 4k alternative since Itunes 4k content should play on it, just note Apple restricts it to not play Dolby Vision but it does (I assume) do 4K HDR.

Maybe somone can comment if possible to VPN on it to watch US content.

  Great price buy without a vpn running on it the content is blocked and can't be removed. So yes you can side load an app but the content in the menus prior to opening the app can't be played.

  The US version is geo locked so Amazon Prime, and possibly others, will not work in AU - Netflix works

    Yep, can confirm. Bought one a while ago when on sale from another seller and refunded due to this precise issue. Seller didn't even want me to return it.

      I had the same problem but just side loaded an android Prime Video APK and it works fine. Can confirm Netflix and other streaming apps work fine also

        Do you have a link for this APK? I've tried doing the same thing and video starts to play, then stops with an error code.
