  I had this a while back. Touchscreen for a media remote is a bad idea. Having to look down to do things isn’t convenient. May as well just use your phone.

  I subsequently gave it to family and bought the one that comes with the infrared hub. Much more convenient and useful.

  Anyways, ymmv, but that’s just my opinion for those looking for the opinion of a former user.

    What are you talking about this has buttons as well as the touch screen.
    This is the elite not the companion.

    This remote is good for anyone who is into home automation.
    I also have the hub connected to home assistant so that's also a plus.

    Battery is not as good as my harmony one i had.
    It still works after several years.

      The buttons for scenes are touchscreen. They require you to look at the device. It’s a touchscreen for the sake of a touchscreen and adds no utility, makes it harder to use, reduces battery life and is more expensive.

      As I said, ymmv but I personally found the touchscreen to be a detriment.

        I like the touchscreen. The utility of it is to map extra least commonly used commands to the screen, most times you wouldn't really need the extra commands.

        Saying that my wallets not deep enough to run off and buy a $300 remote but I recently just purchased used harmony ones to replace the remotes that came with the harmony smart controls.

        Battery although short doesn't bother me too much, just pop it back on the charger when done.

      Ah sweet thanks for the correction, I bought it with a couple other items and instead of looking at the discounted price on the listing page like a normal human I tried to calculate it manually.
