Title is a bit confusing, the final price is $1299. Original price is $1849

  • It's unlocked - but what does a 'Telstra variant only' mean?

    • Normally, you get the logo as you boot up (Off/On) the mobile, might have pre-installed Telstra S/W

    • No VoLTE and wifi calling for non telstra sims

    • They aren't hybrid SIM either.

It's hard to justify getting this over those $850 Note 10s

    • +1

Yep. So hard that it seems a bit silly

no micro sd with note 10

  • Same price in officeworks

Branded phone at that price, no thanks. Hopefully cyber Monday will have a decent offering

    • It's not branded. I have a Telstra variant and the only Telstra branding is the Telstra 24x7 app that is offered when you put in a Telstra SIM - but that's an Android feature as it offers you Voda apps if you install a Voda SIM, etc.

      • Do you need to wait for Telstra approved updates though, I assume you do. Not plain vanilla Samsung updates.

        • Telstra has to test it, but I'm not sure how much of a delay that adds.

    Single sim only

    • What's with everyone wanting dual Sim anyway? Is there some sort of bargain I have missed with having 2 Sims?

      • I don’t get it either.
At no stage have I ever wanted 2 sims in my phones even though I had a phone that could do it.
No need for a work and personal sim in one phone.

      • Makes it easy when you travel. There's no need to swap sims or bring an additional phone. I travel a fair bit and it can get annoying having to constantly swap sims.

        • +1. i'm overseas atm….will only switch on Telstra prepaid sim for incoming sms otp's (banking purposes). Telstra gives free incoming sms for international roaming.

Think better to wait for S11 in Feb'20and buy it from EPP.

  • Is this with the Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9820, does any1 know?

    • +1

Why would it be anything but Exynos? Local product always will be.

      • Thanks, i just googled the specs and saw that it could be either. Didn't know local stock is Exynos.

        • Also this is single-SIM only, not Hybrid. So you can't sacrifice microSD for a second SIM.

Need it at a decent price on a plan

  • Bundled with Telstra 12 mth plan (60Gb per mth @ 65). The total cost of the handset is 999.00. A discount of 500 dollars.

Just got the S10 5G 512GB this way. $999, on a 12 month $65 plan. Ported and used the gift voucher in a single transaction in the store. Also used a $1000 gift card that cost $950 to pay for the remainder. Pretty happy with that, just wish I did it when the buds were being given away rather than waiting for Black Friday and not seeing a better deal.

  • Shit deal - devalues the meaning of black Friday

There was a better deal a couple weeks ago for the s10+ 512gb 4gx which included the earbuds.
