  • Isn't eBay a better deal because you could sell the fortnite code?

    • +6

if u get it plus theres cashback on amazon

    • The fortnight version is $224.

      • $199 during eBay Plus flash sale. Only 100 available.

        • +3

lol "only 100". That old chestnut.

    • +2

Only 100 available during eBay Plus promotion, which will likely be gone in a few seconds.

      • +3

        nanoseconds*

      • +1

Actually the sales history shows they took around 3 minutes to all get sold.

        • Most likely this Amazon Deal slowed it down.

  • -1

    It says $223.99!

    • $194 with Prime

    • Prime is $194

    • +1

if you're using a desktop browser, it'll say 223.99 and below in smaller text 194 with prime. atleast that's what it says on my account.

      • -6

        Yep, (profanity) hell that's retarded

  • +8

2019 black friday and cyber monday is costing a fortune. wicked deal but.

    • +1

I know right??? my wallet is screaming. Who cares what my wife thinks though. Hahaha

    • +6

Bought a PS4 and a Kindle Paperwhite so far. The wife/wallet trouble really begins if I order the laptop I'm eyeing.

      • I've done the PS4 pro, DS918+, 10TBWD ext. from US amazon, lots of 5 buck games for the PS4.
To keep the wife happy, I bought her the philips pasta maker and the tiger rice cooker :).

I'm waiting on a cheap PSVR deal and another 10TB deal for the nas. I'm broke after the last couple of days.

        Lol on the laptop.

        • -8

          Don't need a rice cooker.

Take two pots, Pot A, Pot B.

          • Add water to Pot A, Put it on the stove and bring to a boil.
          • Well waiting for Pot A to boil, clean the rice with water with Pot B.
          • When Pot A is boiling, poor all the rice into a strainer then dump the rice into the boiling Pot.
          • Let it boil away for 12 minutes.
          • Turn off the heating element, then poor the cooked rice into a strainer.
          • Put the pot A to the side, and then dump the rice in the strainer back into the pot A and then put the lid on. You don't need to use heat for the next part.
          • Wait 5 minutes, you have fluffy cooked rice.

@doodo477: Umm I'll stick to the trust tiger thanks

            • @madturbo123: sorry, but what so good about the tiger anyway. I am Asian and have never used a tiger or any of the premium branded ones. i happy with the $20 one we got from good guys +10 years ago.

          • +2

            @doodo477: Rice cooker:

            • Pour in rice
            • Pour in water
            • Push button
            • +1

              @blitz: I'm with you blitz.

Godofpizza, I've still got a 10+ yrs old tiger that's still going strong. Ive cooked with a $30 BREVILLE and a tiger and I deffinately prefer the rice from the tiger.

Try rice from a premium brand machine if you have access to one and let me know which you prefer. I most certainly prefer the premium brands.

Beating the upcoming eBay Plus deal, if you don't care about the Fortnite DLC.

  • +1

And here I thought I made it through this weekend without spending a cent.. this isn't the sub $200 Xbox One I wanted. But it will do.

  • +32

But isn't the PS6 coming out after the PS5? I'd probably just wait for the PS7 release

    • I'm going with PS1

      • ps1 classic! Obviously all store's have gotten rid of these, as I haven't seen a clearance on them for a while.

  • +5

Surely this has to be approaching the cost price for amazon

Just a thought hope eBay can remain as competitive next year and doesn’t run out of marketing cash…. otherwise we won’t get such good deals on amazon

  • +1

Don't forget 3.5% cash back plus extra 10% if you use zippay, bring it down to $167
Not sure if I should wait until 5AEDT see if shopback sparks joy

    • amex $20 cash back

    • Cashrewards - up to 12% cashback
Shopback - up to 15% cashback
      ;)

plus extra 10% off with zippay

      • +2

But the actual rate for electronics atm is still 3.5%

        • okay, i didn't know that, thx

          • +1

@PLIHA5: They get you with that 'upto' but you gotta check individual rates for each category. The 20% flash sale was all categories though so fingers crossed for a repeat this arvo

    • is it better with 20 percent shopback plus zip pay at 223.99 or current deal with 194 plus standard cashback and zip pay?

      • Works out at $156 if waiting for unconfirmed 20% this arvo or $167 if you bite the bullet now. But if the current deal stays and shopback increases to 20% then that'd be crazy

  • +2

ebay amazon price battles lets go

  • It’s getting harder for me to resist and wait for PS5.

    • +4

I think you'd still get a lot of value out of a PS4 right now at this price. A bunch of PS4 exclusives are on sale for $13.60 each too, so you could stock up on great games without breaking the bank. Horizon Zero Dawn, God Of War, the Uncharted series, Bloodborne, The Last Of Us etc. etc… all fantastic games.

PS5 is a year away, and we have no idea what the launch price or game line-up will be like (probably mostly PS4 rehashes early on). If you already had a PS4, you could probably afford to wait for the first decent PS5 sale rather than have to buy it for RRP at launch.

      • Is that digital price? Or at EB or something?
I'm close to pulling the trigger on this deal and it would only be to play the exclusives that you mentioned.

        • Physical copies from Amazon. I don't know what the stock situation is like now, but the PS Hits games (which include the ones I listed) have been on sale for $13.60 each since black friday.

    • I picked up a 500gb slim this weekend with a bunch of exclusives. I'm not super interested in paying launch price for the PS5 when it comes out with a smattering of games, so I'll probably get at least a couple of years of use out of this one. At this price, it's a no brainer.

  • +2

    Bought a PS4 slim 500 GB a few months ago for $295 :(

    • +1

Wow that's almost what I paid for the black Friday ps4 pro.

      • +1

Yeah, I wanted a PS4 then though. Oh well.

        • +4

As long as you've spent those months enjoying the console, it's not all bad.

          • +2

@Thomasta3: Yep, spent my two weeks of holidays well :)
Better than paying $400+ RRP as well.

            • +1

@fedaykin: That's what matters most in the end. I love a bargain just as much as anyone, but if I end up copping a worse deal in exchange for enjoying it for several months more then that's worth it in my eyes!

    • Ouch

  • +3

I'd still recommend getting a Pro at $350 if you can

    • Yep a bought a pro the other day. Worth it for the extra performance boost as the base ps4 barely hits 30fps 1080p on new titles.

  • I see $224…how are you getting it at $194. I am a Prime member.

    • Prime Savings Your price at checkout is AUD$ 194.00.

  • -1

Zip does a credit check, personally that's not worth a few bucks to me.

Great price tho, is there a major difference between this and the pro? Very tempting!

    • +3

The Pro is best if you have a 4k TV. It can run many games in 4k. Also, some games run with extra features on the Pro (by that I mean visuals, not gameplay) and everything in general should run a bit smoother on a Pro. But if you just want to be able to play PS4 games, the standard PS4 Slim is absolutely great and is what everything is basically designed to run on.

What am I doing wrong with Shopback?
Most of my Amazon purchases are not being tracked.
I start with the Shopback, then it diverts me to the Amazon app and made the purchase through it. No cashback tracked afterwards.

    • +1

Same here, none of Friday purchases are tracked as yet.

Purchased something via Cashrewards yesterday and it's already tracking.

      • Exact same! Cashrewards made late last night tracked just now but nothing from ShopBack yet.

    • Damn I thought that was just me and I was going to try to get in touch with them.

I made my purchases on PC which I have been doing for ages without any problems.

Hopefully it's just a delay in the system?

      • I've only been doing it on my phone, many of my purchases didn't track since October!
So, I don't understand how some purchases did get tracked though.

  • If someone purchased at $223 previously, you can ask for a refund on difference due to price drop via chat.

    • It's a promotional item and falls outside of the terms and conditions

      • They did let me cancel my unshipped order from the weekend and reorder with the discount today though.

      • Not sure if there will be a dispute later on. I asked on a chat and they confirmed I will receive a refund.

They even sent me email to confirm that I will receive a refund in next 10 business days.

  • Is this the cheapest it's ever been?

    • Yes

  • Afternoon all… sorry to ask a noob query on the whole cashback/shopback notes above, can I get the 3.5% cashback on top of the 20% off zip pay? I.e; do I need to activate both options somehow when clicking through to Amazon?

Do I need to setup a zip account prior?

Thank you in advance & long may we never pay full price for anything!

  • Out of stock atm. Ships 13/12/19

  • Argh I caved. Couldn’t resist this at the under $200 mark.

  • I still see $223.99 price….even at checkout.
    I am a Prime member also…

How can I get it down to the $194 price?
