  • Awesome card at a good price

  • I'm building a PC from scratch. Happy to wait like up to 6 months to snag good sales for each part. Maximum $1500-2000 budget.

I see quite a few Techfast builds which include 2080 Supers for around this. Am I worth getting what I'm guessing is a low end 2080 Super, or one of these high end 2070s?

I'm a bit lost, I saw the Ryzen 9 3800x deal for 700, and now this, and they both seem like good options to grab, but I'm just not sure!

      • Thanks for the link, really informative. Still a little unclear though - he mentions that 2070 Super is around comparable to 2080, but not whether a Gaming X Trio 2070 Super card is better than a low end 2080 Super.

From what I gather, maybe the low end/surprise 2080 super from techfast?

        • 2080 super will always be faster. Cheaper cards are just more likely to be louder and may run a little hotter meaning they maintain slightly lower boost clocks (compare to other 2080 supers) but difference in performance is minimal. All 2080 supers are much faster than all 2070 supers (which are very close to original 2080 performance)

    Also 1TB SSD Promo https://au.aorus.com/event-detail.php?i=1223 worth $179

That promo doesn't apply to MSI cards.

      • damn, i thought it was, lucky I didnt buy based on that

      • Is there any promos for this card?

  • If you dont care about RGB i'd consider this which is $20 less and slightly higher clock: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Gigabyte-GeForce-RTX-2070-SUPER-…

Here I am trying to figure out waterblock compatibility

I purchased one of these last night. Not the cheapest 2070 super but definitely one of the best cards. You won't find much performance difference between the lower end and higher end 2070s but sound, cooling and aesthetics definitely make up the difference for me.

    • what motherboard you using it on

      • Z170 MSI Gaming 5 + i7 6700k @ 4.5ghz. Hoping it won't bottleneck my Gpu, if it does gives me a reason to upgrade to 9900k

  • Good price for a premium card, FYI this card is massive: 328 x 140 x 56.5 mm

So i would check compatibility with your case.

  • wish the call of duty redemption was still active.

They've just "restocked" it and put up the price, now you have to pay $760.
