just a note - this is a "stretched 2K" panel, it is not 4K :)

    • It is a ultrawide, I believe 3k would be the closest pixel explanation for it.

    • +7

No one said it was 4k =)

    • +1

yeh i wouldnt call Ultrawides "Stretched" although some apps doesnt support the resolution and will look stretched but these days i'd say 90% of apps support the UW resolution so it wont look stretched

      • -1

This monitor doesn't have the PPI to require scale, so, will be used 1:1. Which "apps doesnt support the resolution"?

      • The only thing that will cause stretching is if you run the actual monitor in 16:9 resolution - ie, in a game, where you've selected the wrong res.

    • -1

How about you use precise resolutions instead of deceptive marketing speak that might mean anything.

  • -5

32 inches for 1440p is already pushing it. You can probably see the pixels from this screen if you’re sitting close to it.

    • +1

It's an ultrawide. Basically the same pixel density as 27" 1440p.

    • -1

Even then, I use a 1080p 32" 144hz and its pretty good for gaming.

    • +2

A 34 inch ultrawide is only roughly as vertically sized as a 27. You would know this if you actually had an ultrawide, instead of weighing in with no experience.

  • I have a 27" 1440p this and a 4k.

They work really well together 27" 1440p goes really well in landscape

  • When are these going to come out with USB-C charging

  • Those kogan $500 credits will go nicely to something like this

I have one of these from a previous deal.

Works great, Gsync works with my RTX208O, 100HZ is more than enough personally for gaming unless you have a beast of a computer which can push 144fps+ at 1440p.

Response time is little slow (ghosting when moving windows and mouse) but nothing deal breaking.

Be aware - The bezels are actually white and not silver like the picture suggests.

Colour accuracy is OK ish for photo editing but photos definitely come out differently on my MacBook pro which I definitely prefer using for Lightroom and Photoshop, might be because of settings though.

Overall I think it's a great all rounder and haven't felt the need to get anything else, the size and curve looks fantastic.

I've got one and absolutely zero complaints.

I even mounted it on a gas strut arm (took a lot of tensioning to hold the weight!) but works great.

      • Which arm did you use? Just picked one up :)

        • It was one of the Aldi ones, but it's almost identical to the one popping up here from Amazon.

I think I lost count of how many times I tightened that Allan key tensioner - I was very nervous it wasn't going to hold the weight at all - but eventually got it. I also had to tighten the vertical tilt too, which is still rather front-heavy sure to the VESA mounts being on standoffs rather than flush on the plastic.

The only other consideration is height, simply due to the sheer size of the panel you don't have a huge amount of vertical travel between the desk and max height, but that is still higher than the OEM stand anyway.

its pretty normal for a VA panel to have some kind of ghosting, I love how deep the blacks are on this monitor and the "Movie" preset is great for playing cinematic single-player games

    • +1

There's a calibration profile for the same monitor under a different brand, might be worth checking out. Really helps with turning down the artificial "contrast".

    • Thanks for the info! I just ordered a 2080 Super system from the recent Black Friday Techfast deal, and have been researching a new monitor to pair it with. I've only just begun reading up on 1080p 144hz vs 2160p 60hz debate. I hadn't even thought of a 100hz monitor, but seems like a potential sweet spot between the two. Great to know this will go well with my new system.

This monitor is fantastic and has awesome review by hardware unboxed … +1 for a great monitor at a awesome price!

  • +1 Love mine too, great value for the price and looveee the curve and 35" wide screen :)
