I just spotted this over on chollometro. There is no mention of minimum spend requirement, so decided it's too good to pass up and had to post one more AliExpress deal today :)

Use Google browser to translate, as survey is in Spanish. Not sure if Australian customers are eligible, but it's only 1 question so worth a try.

    all the coupon advertising on aliexpress is so deceptive. they advertise "get a $10 coupon" and you click only to find it is for a $200 spend or similar.

    I decided to spice it up a bit and didn’t even translate.

    Picked one of the options and a second question popped up. Couldn’t tell you what it was.

    Submitted and the thankyou message was in Chinese. I think. What a journey!

      It's in spanish, and asks if you have ever cancelled an order and why, though it doesn't give you the option to say "no, I haven't" lol.
      Created account in English, Answered in Spanish and got confirmation in Chinese.

    • Just copy & open the first bit (before "ref").

    • It's likely Aliexpress automatically detects the HTTP referer from the goto link. I don't think Ozbargain masks this.

      • there's probably an extension which will take care of that for whatever browser you use

    • They will be able to get page level referral data without the UTM parameters anyway

      Also when the coupon becomes "minimum $100 spend". I swear aliexpress's business strategy is to flood you with so many coupons so that you don't know which is valid.

      Because then the items are cheap.

    • That is not true. While the overwhelming majority of sellers on Aliexpress are Chinese and from China there is a section where any international seller could register themselves and start selling. See "Non Chinese Seller Registration" here

        Thanks, I actually tried a while back as I found a product that was selling for a premium compared to ebay, and I recall the system telling me I needed to be in China. Maybe I missed the link, according to the link I guess I just need a vat number now.

        Bummer if you try to join, Looks like Mainland China, Russia, Spain, Italy, Turkey and France only.

        • There used to be some Australian sellers on there, or at least they supposedly had stock sitting in Australia.

          • @mapax: They still exist. 9 times out of 10 they're just using express shipping via Auspost China/DPEX.
