      be gone already lol

    • I dont get the downvotes, i bought iphone 11 since day 1 lol

But the design leaves a lot to be desired in 2019, coming 2020

      • +1

You must have a rather boring life

      • i find the design very bad, more like a toy phone

      • +1

        Yeah.

The design of the Parthenon is just so dated.

And those Fabergé eggs; they're just so 1896. They really should've been updated every year or two.

        • Lol wut?

You are comparing phones with Parthenon and….eggs?

          O_o

  • +1

Thanks OP grabbed one been waiting for a while for the iPhone prices to go down

  • this or a used iphone xs max?

    • Really depends on what size you want. I’ve got a max and could never downsize

      • However I think it depends also on how you want to use. One handed is still achievable on 11, while for the max it would be very difficult

        • Not once you put a descent case on it, had a xr for 8 months upgraded to a 11 pro, much better.

        • My wife found XS Max too big so am looking at iPhone 11 this time around.

          • @jace88: I agree, unless you have very big hands it will be hard to handle. I’m a lady and find the xr pretty good (my hands are fairly big too, but I think I would struggle with the max)

            • @fozzie: I personally don't mind the size and my hands are small, but then I usually don't have anything else in my hands (except maybe a coffee?). My wife usually is carrying a bag or something arather and I suspect that makes it a little bit harder to balance.

    • +6

I would go for this, brand new, newer chip, better battery. The max has a better screen and that’s all. I have an iPhone XR and love it. I would like to upgrade to an iPhone 11, because of new cameras and more ram but I need a lot of internal storage (at least 128gb, better 256)

    • +2

      This has much better battery

    • This.

    • had an xs max last year, great phone but hard to use one handed and uncomfortable in pockets. Went to a standard 11 pro this year and although it’s smaller it’s way more manageable.

  • looks like my old essential phone

    • +3

You should just keep using your old essential phone

  • +4

Starting to be a little more price competitive.

Needs to be lower in price than Samsung S10 Plus to be anything resembling a bargain.

The build quality isn't all that great and its an entry model too.

    • +3

Still beats the s10 though lol

    • +2

      Compare against pixels really.

  • +5

Still waiting for a 128gb to be on sale. Missed out on the OW one a while ago (though there was hardly any stock).

    • +1

Me too! But I want the 256gb. I’m hoping Amex will put Harvey Norman at 20% off , plus I might be able to claim gst as well. Keeping my fingers crossed

  • Price match?

  • Damn missed out

  • Yea that didn't last long :/

  • +4

I wish they would refresh the 4.7" form-factor iphone; I upgraded from the 6 to the 11 and the size and weight are too bulky/heavy for a pocket (130 grams versus 225 grams). I want my home button back too :). The only thing noticeably far superior on the 11 is the camera.

    • +1

I want my home button back too

      God, please no.
A physical button is the main reason I never bought a galaxy or an iPhone (before X)

      • I think a physical home button would be good for Apple iPhone. Or, at least a dedicated button for Siri if Apple MUST have it (on the side, instead of sharing it with power on button).

This press two buttons to turn off an iPhone is just user unfriendly. When one of my parents was at the airport and had to turn off the iPhone XS Max (I wasn't there), a google search was required.

    • +1

You should have bought the iphone X, XS or 11 pro - these are more form fitting and an appropriate size. The 11 is actually almost as big as the Pro Max.

    • +1

There are rumors of an upcoming iPhone SE 2

      • IT'll be in the iPhone 8 chassis, though, apparently

    • Have you setup the soft button? You can put it up on the screen and it acts like a home button. You can also do the “scrunch” and that takes you to home as well.

  • +10

64gb is just not enough for these day.

    • +2

Your not wrong. Dunno why anyone would buy 64gb!

      • +2

        I did.

I have 1tb storage at Google, I really don't care for space on my phone.
That being said, I would have bought 128gb because the price difference is small anyway but it was out of stock.

        • +2

Having 43gb free space is not enough when travelling etc.

      • +8

I can barely fill my 64gb, not everyone takes 1000 pictures everyday

        • they have a 4k video camera you know

          • @[Deactivated]: So does the iPhone SE, which I have - and only 64GB! lol. But when I upgrade, I'll definitely go for at least 128GB

        • The point is, memory is so cheap that they could have had 128gb on the base model for what they are charging.

          • @John Doh: And my point is its a null point for most people

Even my sister who takes photos every chance dhe gets cant fill all that up

            • @Freestyle: What about people who wants 128gb? Now they have to pay extra! Can’t believe google and Apple still don’t put additional so cheap memory after charging so much! I don’t know about you, but most people take a lot of photos use WhatsApp, store music and that 64 gb which is actually what? less than 50 gb? Will not be enough. People still buy the 64 gb version because they can’t afford the next tier of the already expensive phone.

              • @John Doh: Will not be enough? I just told you its more than enough for almost everyone I know

Music? Thats freaking 4-10 mb per track mate

The only reason you'd need it is for large photos or videos at which point you should buy a camera.

I buy the 64gb version because the 32gb isnt available anymore, I dont use my phone 24/7

                • @Freestyle: Ah I get it. Unlike androids, you cant just copy your entire mp3 collection, books etc becuase of that DRM crap unless you jail break it correct? And you cant even use a iPhone as a temporary USB drive in emergency correct?

Hmmm, 4K videos (not that i use that setting often), regular photos when you have kids at home. GBs of favourite Mp3s, Whatsapp's now high quality videos, all take up space.

Sorry, i cant live a life like that and all the people I know, were not happy with their 64 GB (less than 50GB available space) of One plus and Samsung phones. I happily moved from 32GB Mi to 256 GB P30 pro for the same price of the iPhone 11 few months back. Just check the reviews of Pixel 4XL, people mock at its puny 64GB storage. I am surprised iPhone users dont want it.

And who buys a camera these days? Have you seen people walking around with a camera? Almost all the people in my family and friends who owns a DSLR cameras dont even carry them anywhere anymore. Why, because phones have taken over. People are OK with a slightly lower quality photos rather than carrying a bulky camera around. Forget Point and shoots, nobody I know of have thiers in working condition coz the batteries are dead.

Anyways if you are happy and content with 32GB, good for you and all the people that you know of. Also you can read the comments below mine. Many not happy.

                  • @John Doh: Then go buy your Samsung and stop whinging in a deal on iPhone

Makes you look like you have nothing better to do

    • +3

It was fine for me right up until I wanted to take photos on a holiday… Just buy 128GB minimum.

      • Use google photos.

        • +3

While in another country without wifi. Yea okay.

        • +1

Good luck with that using hotel wifi / roaming sims in anywhere except for ultra rich countries.

      • +1

Yep, 128gb is the minimum, 256gb is recommenced

        • +1

Or do the best thing and save your photos online anyway. Then you don't care about storage.

          • +2

@nikoris: I'll just upload my 4k videos on my 1gb roaming Sim while on holiday. Good advice mate.

            • @onlinepred: if u take that many bloody photos buy a camera

              • @Freestyle: 4k video, not photos. Sorry, should we not take any photos or videos on our phones? I'm glad you can survive using a phone on next to no storage, not for everyone at all though, especially if you go on holiday or save money buying smaller data Sims etc.

    • Everyone's use case is different though :) I've had an 8+ 256gb model for over a year, and I just checked… 39.9Gb used of 256Gb. I don't even have iCloud enabled for photos either! (that would save 10Gb if I did)

    • -1

nah… 32gb is enough… for photos an videos just use a +200gb sd card

oh wait… this is an apple right? so they don't have memory slots? ahh the price of being an apple fan.. too bad hahahaah

  • Not Pro

    • Pro is a marketing term

      • +1

there's one less hole at the back.
        the more holes the merrier!

        • +7

That’s a different kind of Pro

      • Well the pro is better?

        • -3

That’s what Marketing wants you to think!

        • For $700 more you get an extra back hole 🕳

Think of what you can do with an extra hole! 🕳

this was my first iphone i got 1 month ago, got it for a really good price, ive always been a Samsung owner, never an iphone owner, although i do have an ipad for a long time about 9 years, ive never gotten used to the ios on a phone device. it still has not fully grown on me for the reasons that you cannot do all the things that you can do on a android, although i have found some workarounds to doing those things on the iphone there is still one thing i cannot do and that is record phone calls (important calls).

but as an overall phone this has to be the best premium bang for buck phone on the market. yes this is a better bang for buck than a note 10+ in my opinion because ive used both and this is coming from a samsung guy, i hate to say or admit it myself, as far as overall camera performace, this phone has been rated again and again as the best overall camera on the market, the video i shoot with it looks like its on a gimbal (unlike note 10+ that has micro jitters) no android can come close, amazing phone and most reviewers recommend this version over the pro and pro max because it has everything the other ones do, (besides the not so important telephoto lens) and the screen is lower res (no big deal as you really dont notice it until you put a 2k res phone next to it and zoom in on images).

    • +1

Agree. I'm going back to iPhone next year.

The video quality and stabilisation out of this world. crazy!

      • yes definitely agree the video recording and photography with the fusion thing is too good to be true in a phone, i dont even think Samsung can match it with the next iteration,

right now im rocking the lg v30+ and the iPhone, with my sim still in the v30+ i still have not transferred everything to the iphone which is crazy its been a month, the android to ios app does not transfer all the messages, it only transfers messages that were sent to you via an iPhone device, its lame. also you cannot transfer whatsapp messages neither, even if you back them up. the iphone backs up on icloud and google on gdrive, whatsapp really needs to solve this issue, basically anyone trying to transfer completely needs to give up years of messages.

        • You can get 3rd party programs that will full back and copy across all messages form one to the other.

  • -5

    @striker5950.

Apparently there's a special promotion on at the moment with iPhones: for the same price as usual, you get a free 'Shift' key.

    Definitely worth the investment.

  • -1

I guess everything would depend on the price. Buying the Note 10 around the $800 price is definitely good value for money.

However would If I had to pay the same inflated iPhone prices for a Note 10 then I would prefer to buy the iPhone mainly because of a much higher resale value and other reasons (quick OS upgrades).

Hence my next 5G phone in 2020 might be a iPhone but would certainly depend on the price of Galaxy S11 or Note 11

  • +2

    Both colours back in stock

  • so the only different between iphone 11 and 11pro is11 has a crummy lcd screen compared to OLED and its got a lousier camera?

Oh yeh the glass and body made with cheaper material and its fatter and longer / heavieer
