  • Why yes, I would love all of my portraits to have eyes with white rings shining in them!

  • What is the benefit of this one over say some $15 ones you can get off amazon/ebay as featured here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLPqcwDKsbw

It will be too dim for most creators using DSLR or mirrorless cameras, even smartphone if you wanted to set the ISO lower. The one you linked would be good for skype calling/web meetings, maybe vlogs too if don't really care about the visual quality.

  • My wife has one of these for work as a beautician. She found that it’s not as bright as her other lights, not for what she wants anyway. I would expect this is aimed more for making YouTube videos and other similar uses.

  • I'm getting a "code cannot be applied to your order" error when I try and checkout, anyone else having this issue?

  • Damn. I bought the older version when it was on sale recently for a similar price. I wish I waited a little longer for this.

    • Yeah especially without having to clip on the filters. I would happily pay the extra for that. This really is an upgraded light.

  • I got the cheaper / slightly fatter one in the previous deal and I'm amazed as to how much light it throws. It lights my lounge room up better than the main lights. Also too, you need to be fairly close to the camera & light to get this effect so I think you most likely wind down the brightness so you dont have squint lines. It's bright.

  • Hi Op,

I couldn't get the code working. Is offer still valid?

  • I'm not sure why people are loving ring lights so much. OP, I'd love a deal on the 480 LED dimmable lights, similar to earlier in the year, for those of us not enamoured with ring lights. Pretty please….
