      Most are, some are physical. My experience with the eGift cards has been that they arrive instantly too which is nice.

        Yeah they've upped their game on this - it used to take ages for some in my experience, but seem to come instantly for the recent ones I've tried (EB/Target)

    I'm a Suncorp customer and take advantage of their rewards program but hope better competition enters the space, as

    1) They've been continually decreasing rewards on random cards over many months and then have 'special increased' rates e.g. Rebel Sport was 10% every day, decreasing it to 6% and then having a promotion to 8% isn't that exciting. Woolworths is down to 4%, David Jones was 10% every day, Myer was 8% every day, and so on.

    2) Over black Friday they removed David Jones gift cards from their rewards portal but miraculously they reappeared on Tuesday after the deals had all wrapped up.

      I don't think Suncorp rewards are to blame for any of this. It's the individual retailers who set the discounts.

        I definitely appreciate that, but I am sure they have negotiating power and given the rewards program is tied to their brand, they can make an effort to match percentages of the competition e.g. multiple places offering 5% back on Woolworths via gift card or delayed return via cashback. Further IMO, it is not a good look for Suncorp to have participating companies opting in and out of the program based on when they are running sales.

        Edit: Also, just out of interest, do Suncorp / other companies running these programs earn a commission?

    Had Priceline in my cart @8% off, then was removed from cart, then only 5%.
    Offer expired while ordering!
